My cat has started to enjoy wool toys. We have been realizing she enjoys the looser ones that she can unravel easier more than these. My cat plucked the eyeballs off of them and hasn’t touched them since. Our dog on the other hand carries it around in his mouth lol.

Cute Toys That Haven’t Engaged My Cats Much
These toys are colorful and sturdy, but my cats seem minimally interested in them. I have noticed the toys moved to different parts of my house at night, but I wish there were catnip inside to attract my cats more.

I originally ordered these for my current foster cat, who is senior and arthritic. It quickly became clear that she would NOT play with them – but she won’t play with anything except one specific ball that seems near and dear to her heart. These toys are SO cute, though, that I put them on a shelf in my ocean-themed guest bathroom and I’ve gotten lots of compliments about how cute they are. They really are adorable and would make a great host/hostess gift for someone with a lake or beach house or even an aquarium. I think if I were to try these with another foster I’d let them sit in a bag of catnip for a while first.

The outside of the package is marked with a basic tutorial on who the company is and how they make their products. They loudly proclaim on their packaging that this is a US-based company, but in small print they note that the toys are designed in California and made in Nepal, so keep in mind if you’re trying to find a company that’s 100% US based, this one is 50% US-based.That being said, I do like the way these are made. The designs on the fishy toys are made into the toy, not pasted on, so they look like they’ll last longer. On the back of the package is a QR code that leads to a shortened URL that leads to Needle felting academy which gives you more of their felt products and a coupon for future purchases.To my human nose, there’s no smell attached to these, but we’ll have to see what the cat says about it.We have three cats, two of them older. At first sniff, the older cats didn’t care a whole lot about it. It. Hard to entice older cats to play, sometimes. Since these toys have no catnip inside, we put one of the toys in a jar with some catnip, to let it absorb the smell. One of the other toys I threw for the cat to play with and he did indeed slap it around some. He does like to play fetch with it, except he doesn’t bring it back. The third cat ignored the toy entirely. I think once the wool absorbs some of the catnip smell from my catnip toy jar, that they’ll enjoy the toys more.

Sturdy Thick Felted Wool, Add Some Catnip Yourself!
These three cat toys are very cute and they are made of thick felted wool that looks like it will last. I did put some catnip spray on them to make them appealing to our two kitties, otherwise they were ignored. I think these will be toys that will be around for a while, due to their sturdiness as well as they are the right shape and size to attract our particular 8-year-old kitties (a tuxie and a white-and-tabby). They are a bit pricey, but the quality is good, made of real wool through felting, which I can appreciate having done some myself. They are made in Nepal for a US-based company. I will add a photo when I find one again, as the kitties have already hidden them in their treasure trove somewhere.

Good for Senior Cats
These are perfect for my senior cat who still likes to play but moves slower than in recent years. While he no longer wants to chase any toys, he loves having them slid over to where he is so he can scoop them up and bite and kick them.The felt fabric is great for sliding across our hardwood floors, and it makes the toys easier for him to pick them up with his claws.I also really appreciate that there are no pieces that will come off and potentially get ingested. This has been an issue with other toys we own.
