Excellent device and worth the money.
I recently installed the YoLink Home Water Leak Monitor, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. This device is incredibly easy to set up and connects seamlessly to my smartphone. The real-time alerts are a game-changer, notifying me instantly if any leaks are detected. The build quality is solid, and itâs compact enough to fit in tight spaces. I love that I can monitor my home even when I’m away, which gives me great peace of mind. Overall, this is a must-have for anyone looking to protect their home from water damage. Highly recommend!

American company with a solid product!
I bought a set of these leak detectors for my cabin a few months ago. Iâm genuinely surprised by the high quality and the ease of setup, app use etc. I tested one of the sensors and it works well. I now have also the temperature and humidity sensor, all connected to the hub seamlessly. Quite reasonably priced and there are no subscription gimmicks. On top of all, Yo-link seems to be an American company based out of Irvine, which Iâm happy about.

YoLInk is great!
This was my first purchase from YoLink: a bunch of water leak detectors. Since then I added two “auto” garage door closers (if somebody forgets and leaves the door open), a camera, and other stuff. I have been super happy with the setup, operation, and customer support. At the beginning I needed some hand holding.I wrote software for 40 years and want to comment on a couple things. First, YoLink has successfully NOT put in every feature any customer has ever requested. Look at Word or Excel to see a bloated app. YoLink is simple and logical without a bunch of confusing bells and whistles the average user does not need. Second, the software is ROBUST. When something goes wrong – like your power goes out or your wifi fails – the system comes back ‘up’ reliably.I like it. –jim

Easy setup, works as intended.
Setup was easy and devices work as intended. I recommend testing each sensor after linking and get familiar with.Setting up App takes time and also there is no easy way to understand all the settings. Only time will tell if tgey actually work in case of emergencies. Most valuable feature is SMS when internet is out, but there is no way to get alerts if power is out and there is a leak.

Peace of mind
We have notoriously bad luck with water incidents at our new home. We had 2 separate occasions where water leaked through the ceiling from an A/C drip pan overflowing. We also had an issue with a slab leak in the kitchen. You would think after those incidents I would’ve invested in water sensors….but no. It wasn’t until I woke up on Christmas morning to my entire house being flooded in 3″ of water that made me finally come to my senses and order water leak sensors. For the Xmas incident, the water inlet valve under my kitchen sink came loose overnight and managed to flood the entire house in a matter of 5 hours. Had I had a leak sensor under the sink, Christmas wouldn’t have been ruined and my house wouldn’t have had thousands of dollars in water damage. So now I have water sensors on anything that has the potential to leak water. All the sinks (kitchen, bathroom, laundry room), all the AC drip pans, the water heater, the toilets, the washer and even the fridge and dishwasher. The Yolink system is incredibly easy to install. It took me about 20 minutes to pair all the sensors with the main hub and do the wet checks on them as well. I recommend labeling each sensor with its location (i.e. kitchen sink) that way you don’t get confused on what goes where (if you’re pairing a bunch of them). The app works great and you can set up a room, then the sensors that will be in that room. You can also favorite a sensor or sensors so that they show up on your dashboard on the app, allowing you to monitor the sensor for battery life or activity. You can also sign up for email and text notification if a leak is detected. Additionally, these make a very noticeable audible noise that can also be modified for duration and alert intervals. The app also keeps history logs of any incidents that the sensors experienced. Lastly, the range on these is amazing. I haven’t had any issues with these being out of range (even in the attic) or going offline. To test each of these, I paired them all then set them on a wet paper towel. They immediately made a high pitched beep and send a corresponding email and text. To test the top sensors, I just used a dropper and put a drop of water on the top which yielded the same results. If you are a homeowner I cannot recommend these enough. In hindsight, I wish I would have installed these everywhere to avoid heartache, stress and thousands spent in repair.

Great Value and Peace of Mind!
The YoLink Smart Home Starter Kit has been a fantastic addition to my home! Setting it up was quick and easy, and the app is user-friendly, making it simple to manage all the devices from my phone. The kit includes everything you need to get started with home automationâsmart plugs, sensors, and more, all of which integrate seamlessly into my home network. Not only do I enjoy the convenience of controlling everything remotely, but I also got a discount on my homeowner’s insurance for installing these devices. Itâs great to know that my home is safer, and the insurance savings are just an added bonus! If youâre looking to upgrade your home with smart technology while saving on insurance, I highly recommend the YoLink Smart Home Starter Kit!

After comparing with other brands, I found these water sensors to be the best. The best feature is that when there is water detected, it not only sounds an alarm, but the app sends out both an email and text message. The other brands do not send text messages. If I am away from home, getting a text message is the best way to be alerted.

This took around 10 minutes to set up, very intuitive. Extremely good value and I now have a sensor in laundry, 2 baths, and kitchen which at least gives some peace of mind. I tested it with alerts and the sensor flashes on the unit but also sends email. Very impressed. I have Sinope and they are the similar quality but the price would only buy one unit!

Bought this set a few year’s ago. And still, every thing is working well.Pros – response time is great, drip water on sensor and I get a notification on my phone near instantly! Battery life is great, a couple years on and they are working great, I test them a few times a year to be sure. Hackable, I opened one up an soldered on some wires to extend the sense location, I put a little piece of sponge on the end of a twisted pair of wires, tinned for corrosion resistance, and I was able to position it at a level just above my sump pump water level, if my sump pump fails I should be notified if the level rises another inch or so. These sensors worked so well I branched out to other devices. I now have the garage door sensor and controller and the temp/humidity sensor. The hub even acts as a power sensor as when the power goes out the hub goes offline and I get a notification.Cons – the app is a little weird, but not bad. Just not super intuitive. But I have managed to get everything set up on my phone, and my wife’s phone (Apple phones, I don’t have android experience with the app.
