The best digital instant read thermometer Iâve ever used
I have several of these and have been on a quest to find one that works the best. I believe I have found it in this AMMZO thermometer. It is accurate and easy to use. It comes with an extra 2032 battery. There is a good instruction pamphlet and a great little guide for temperatures to cook meat to the level of doneness desired. And it has a built in magnet, although I am unable to use that in my stainless steel kitchen. It also has Velcro to connect it to a surface. But I have a convenient place to put it when not in use. So, I wonât use those. My only question is that in the operating instruction pamphlet it says: âDo not leave the unit inside an oven, grill, smoker or microwave while cookingâ¦.â. This is the only mention of microwave. The Amazon page doesnât mention the ability to use this in a microwave oven. And because of the metal, I wouldnât think you could. So, Iâm confused about the mention in the operating instructions.

Works well, no memory function
This seems to work just fine. It tuns on/off by simply opening and closing the probe. I wish it remembered the temperate unit you selected but it doesn’t. I’m in the US so I always just have to hit the button to switch to Fahrenheit but it’s not a big deal. It reads temperature correctly or at least close enough for the purpose. 135 results in a perfect medium rare so if it’s off then it’s not by much. As long as the food is cooked correctly then I’ll call that a win.

this is a good meat thermometer to start off with, but it’s slow and it bugs out often (the screen just shows “EEEEEE” instead of a temp reading). So after 2 years of using this multiple times per week, i’m now looking for a better quality one. I will keep this as a backup. But I definitely recommend getting a meat thermometer in general, it will change your life when it comes to cooking! Couldn’t live without one now.
