    Great glass filter pitcher
I got the blue one. I love that most of it is glass. The filter works great and it’s easy to fill and pour. The filter started extremely slow, but sped up with each successive fill, as other reviews promised it would.I got a separate glass pitcher to transfer the filtered water to in order to have enough cold and filtered water since this one would be constantly empty if it was the only jug I was using.

    Fresh clean water anytime
These water filters are visually beautiful. I keep mine on top of the kitchen counter for easy access throughout the day. It does take time for the water to filter but once the pitcher is full it dispenses quickly which I like. Refilling is as easy as bringing the pitcher directly under the water faucet allowing the top to automatically open without having to remove it. Very convenient! The most important part, the filtered water tastes great! I would also keep the pitcher in the frig so I can have chilled water on demand. The 7cup size was perfect for me but I would consider the 10cup size if your family drinks a lot of water. The silicone base is a great added feature that helps from slipping.

    Lovely and different GLASS pitcher
This LifeStraw 7 cup pitcher is super streamlined and attractive! The water tastes cleaner! But it does have several design quirks that I hope will be fixed in future models. This is just so nice looking and feels much higher quality than the competition – we have mostly used Brita pitchers in the past and this feels much nicer in terms of materials. I was looking for a glass pitcher without any plastic, and could not find something that was completely plastic free, but at least the body of this one is glass, with a silicone outer (removable) base. The double filter is pretty cool and they say it removes microplastics plus lead and bacteria, which I have not seen in other filters! Nice. I was really excited about that and I can actually taste a pretty noticeable difference in the taste of this water vs a Brita lead reducing filter pitcher. The main downfall of this lovely pitcher is how unbelievably slow the filter is…the first use and then following 3-4 uses were painfully slow, it took literally all day to filter one batch (the first batch) of water (not a whole pitcher full, just one small reservoir full). I was shocked. This speed has improved, but is still really slow compared to the Brita. Like really slow. Another design flaw is the location of the handle – I love that it is glass, but the handle is up really high on the body of the pitcher and when you have this half full or more, the handle is hard to hold and the pitcher is hard to tilt because of the weight. Speaking of which, the weight of this pitcher will be a major challenge for some because of the glass–when it is full, it weighs over 8 lbs. The last thing to know / not great feature is that the reservoir that you fill to filter the water is so small (I totally understand why, design-wise, it could not really be any bigger) that you have to fill it up SO, so many times to get a full pitcher. My goal in buying this was to have one pitcher to use for the day for myself so I would know how much water I am drinking in a day and then fill it up at night. Well I don’t have that much time on my hands at night to refill the reservoir so many times, since it also takes so long to filter. I’m including a picture of the pitcher when it is pretty full and with this amount of water, the entire thing weighs 7 lbs 9 oz. Another picture to show the size difference. Overall I am still happy with this purchase! Just wish the filter were faster and reservoir were larger.

    BETTER than Brita and PUR
Why is it better than Brita and PUR? For starters, it’s a glass pitcher and not plastic. The glass is very similar to Pyrex quality grade glass but just a bit thicker. Because of this, the pitcher does get heavy when it is full of water.Second, most water filters filter out everything including the essential minerals found in water like magnesium and potassium that the human body actually needs to help sustain good health and hydration. The filtration system (which is a 2-stage system) removes bacteria, parasites and microplastics that have been found in some water sources. In addition, it greatly reduces any lead, mercury and over 30 other types of chemicals that have been classified as “forever chemicals” (look into these further and you will be shocked as to what they are, trust me!)Third, the 2-stage filtration system that it uses (microfilter and activated carbon plus ion exchange filter) is what makes it so unique. This system is what actually helps make whatever water you filter through taste better. Just as a note, the microfilter is good for 1 year or 260 somewhat gallons of water. The activated carbon plus ion exchange filter is good for about 2 months or 40 gallons of water.Yes, it is pricier than a Brita or PUR water filter pitcher. But the benefits you get will from a Lifestraw water filter pitcher definitely outweighs the price. I’ve used it when making regular hot coffee or tea and cold brew coffee or tea and it really has made a difference in the overall taste and after taste of each drink.

I love this water pitcher. It looks nice and stylish. Holds a good amount of water. Love the fact that it is glass so you don’t need to worry about those pesky microplastics leaching into your water. The taste is good the water keeps cool inside as well. The pitcher does take a while to fill but that hasn’t been a very big deal. I was considering going the 10 cup pitcher but I’m happy I stuck with this one, it is a little heavy when all the way full and I think the 10 cup would be quite a bit heavier. All in all love this pitcher.

I love this product. It’s beautiful and the filtered water tastes great.Just a note that the first few times you use it the water will filter out extremely slowly. Like a drip at a second. This is noted in the instruction sheet at the very bottom so I missed it and almost sent the jug back.I wish they would put that in the actual list of instructions instead of at the bottom as a side note. My short attention span made that note really hard for me to find. lol.It is slow at first because the filter has to release the air bubbles in it before it filters more quickly. It’ll never be as fast as a Britta but it’s fast enough and no microplastics!

Pitcher with filter is very good. It doesn’t take that long to filter the water like the other reviews say. I would estimate it filters all the water you add within 5 minutes for sure but I haven’t timed it. Maybe the pre-filter reservoir is on the small side so you do have to add water a number of times before the pitcher is actually full. Its perfectly fine for a couple of people. Maybe a different story if you are using this one pitcher for an entire family. Also huge plus is that it is the only glass filter I could find that actually filters PFAs and PFOAs which are major contaminants in almost every single water system in the world.Edit: I have timed the fill rate of the pitcher. It takes approximately 37 minutes to fill from empty to full, if you fill as soon as the filter resivoir is able to take more water. It filters 77ml per minute on average and the first 500ml you add is filtered in 4 minutes and 54 seconds. I had to add water to the resivoir 11 times to get it to fill to the top. The filter water resevoir holds a maximum of 500ml of water and the pitcher will hold 1880ml of water (after the filter) in total. I fill it up while I am cooking dinner or cleaning the kitchen since I am already near it.

Can taste …and feel a great difference comparing to tap water. Do strongly recommend and will not go without it anymore! Thanks for such a great product…it highlights how rubbish tap water is!
