Wonderful but the instructions have one major flaw
If they send me a replacement bladder I will change this rating to a 5. (EDIT – the did.) The pack is beautifully made. Construction looks excellent. But the beautiful instructions SEEM to stop at the bottom of the first side. Step 1 put the bladder in. Step 2 thread the tube thru the strap. Step 3 Enjoy. So I look at it and think “hmmm, got to get that tube attached to the bladder”. Look at it. Look at the bladder. Decide it looks a lot like a salad dressing bottle top that needs the tab lifted, so lift the tab. It popped off and I cannot get it back on. The tube goes in but it doesn’t latch. (EDIT – the replacement tube just pops in and automatically locks.)At some point the instructions get flipped over (maybe even by accident, I don’t know) and AHA – we were not done and ready to enjoy as step 3 indicated. The tab is the lock and release. I can see how it fit in, but I cannot get the tab back on.If I had just barged into it without looking at the instructions I would say my fault. But I followed the instructions, which seemed to end at the bottom of the front side. I don’t think I even knew the back side wasn’t blank.I have not found a way to contact Mothybot so resorting to this hoping they will take notice. It is a beautiful well-designed and made pack. Just the instructions are misleading and seem to have resulted in loss of use since I can’t get the clip back on.I bought it in July and tried it on – very satisfied. But went to use it first time today (September), so out of the 30 day return policy.EDIT – the new bladder arrived today. I have not actually USED the pack, but have tried it on and find it very comfortable. I love the pockets!! One on each of the waistbands (about 6 x 3), a mesh pocket on the outside of the back (about 8 x 5), the bungies on the upper outer back, and inside the back pocket a slip-in pocket (about 8 x 9), a zippered pocket (about 8 x 7), and the full height pocket (about 8 x 14). Of course you can’t stuff a ton of things in these pockets, but they make things really easy to find and retrieve. If I hadn’t had the problem with the instructions, on first appraisal I would have looked to see if there were more than 5 stars to give, and now after putting the new bladder in and looking more closely at it, I would give it a 10 if that was an option.

Perfect Hydration pack for all your hiking needs
Bag is durable yet light. It’s insulated to keep the water cool and gives plenty of room for any other item you may need to store on your hike. I wouldn’t leave the house for either a camping trip/kayaking/or hiking without it. Well worth every penny. I bought this as a gift and another for myself.

    Hydration pack with some bonus
I work outside for 8-10 hours a day dealing with customers and needed something to combat the Midwestern summer heat. Browsed around for a while and decided on the Mothybot. its very lightweight and the straps are comfortable. The clip that holds the straw up near your face is helpful, if you need to be semi hands-free.After using this for about a month I feel comfortable with leaving a review:TLDR: Buy it for day trips or quick bike rides, but carry extra cold packs for longer than a couple hours. Not fully insulated!PROS:╚The room for storage is great. Whether you’re hiking, riding, or just making a day of the weather this pack has enough room to hold all the essentials.╚The waist straps have fanny-pack like pouches where you could store some money or maybe a knife. They’re not big enough for phones, but they are good for extra pockets.╚There is a headphone cable port in the pack. Since I’m outside with my phone and an iPad, I keep a 20,000 battery in my pack’s storage and routed the cable right along the path as the straw. It definitely makes it easier to get through the day when you don’t have to find a way to charge your devices.╚The bladder’s opening is large enough you could fill it with huge chunks of ice and let it melt all day as a way to preserve the cool drink on tap.Two big CONS:1) The compartment where the bladder is held is POORLY insulated. There’s a very thin layer of insulation on the front and back of the compartment, but the sides and bottom are bare material. You’re lucky to hold a temperature for about 2-3 hours without a lot of cold-pack support. To keep the pack cold past the 4 hour mark (closer to 6 hours) I add a cold pack behind the bladder, a cold pack to the front of the bladder, and 2 frozen bottles of water on each side.2) The 2 Liter capacity is not exactly the truth. 2-liters of water is about 67 ounces. The average water bottle in North America is 16.9 oz so I should be able to pour almost 4 full bottles. While standing on end, as if you were wearing it, the bladder will only hold 3 bottles of water. If you took it out of the pack, laid it flat, and carefully maneuvered the bladder as you filled it, you could get very close to the full 2 liters, but “ain’t nobody got time fo’that”
