Reliable Safety with Smart detector
This detector is very convenient, easy to install, and provides a great user experience. It combines both smoke and carbon monoxide detection, saving the trouble of installing multiple devices at home. The standout feature is its Wi-Fi connectivity, which allows you to receive real-time alerts and status notifications on your phone. Even when you’re not at home, you can stay informed, giving you a great sense of security. Itâs slightly more expensive than regular detectors, but the added functionality and safety make it worth it.

Buy it for your elderly parents and for your own home even as a supplement to an existing system!
Love them! It’s a long story I bought these for my elderly father who fell asleep with some chicken on the stove top. Theres a lot of debate about what transpired next whether the alarms did not go off or he just slept through them but I decided we could not risk that happening again. We replaced his existing hard wired fire alarms since they were quite old and added these as a supplement so he would definitely have working fire alarms AND now CO detectors AND when any alarm goes off it will send an alert to his phone and several other family members so we can make sure everything ok. I also love that I can go on the app and even see the battery state of charge!I was so impressed I bought a few for myself as I run a wood stove and am not always right by it when it’s running. House fires are incredibly dangerous and require an immediate response if you want to have any hope of putting them out before they get out of control. Since you may not always be home having text alerts could save your home or be life and death for a loved one or pet.One thing to note there are several different versions. These connect directly to his wireless router which is simple and fairly reliable. There are also versions that interconnect wirelessly through a base station. If I were going to do a whole house I would get the base station version since tripping any alarm will set off all the alarms whereas the wifi ones are not interconnected. For a supplement or in areas where you you may get false alarms like by a wood stove I think the independently operating units make more sense to reduce the false nuisance alarms.

Easy set up and connection to WiFi. Built with solid plastics. A good value for the cost.

Very nice and straightforward
Fortunately, I haven’t the chance to see it in action, so I cannot really comment on the full usage. I can, however, comment on the looks, app and set up process. This looks like a fairly standard CO alarm and is the same size as many others (maybe just a tad larger). It comes with a display so you can see any potential PPM in your home. Setting up the CO alarm is just like any other. You pull the tab out from between the pre-installed battery and the terminal then use the three provided screws to mount it. Easy peasy. The app is flawless and easy to register and view. It has stayed connected to the Wifi the entire time thus far. I feel safe with this new addition in my house, but I would prefer to be UL listed for the additional piece of mind. I am not sure that it is..

Great device, good app support, odd mounting plate
Transitioned from a First Alert device that was hardwired with Battery Backup. With it being the size of the traditional devices, I was a bit surprised the mounting plate on this didn’t have standard screw holes for electrical boxes. It wasn’t to difficult to drill a couple and bevel the holes so the screws stay flush (pic included), but it seems like something X-Sense should consider. The app support has been great for the weeks since I installed everything this and adding devices was super easy. It’s really nice to be able to silence an alarm from the app.

Wifi connected and quick to install
I just trashed my old First Alert smoke/CO detectors (three of them) after one went off unexpectedly and began screaming EVACUATE!, scaring my wife out of her wits. I bought the XSENSE because they come in a 3 pack, are interlinked (when one alerts, they all do) and they connect to wifi through a phone app. This is a great feature, as it will send an alert to my phone if I am away when they go off. I obviously donât know how they work for real (nor do i want to find out), but they installed seamlessly, with easy wifi set up, and all seem to be functioning normally. They have LCD readout screens and replaceable batteries, which is a plus. The others had a â10 yearâ battery that was non-replaceable. These XSENSE detectors have a 10 year lifespan. I am more than satisfied with them at this point. I can also add more to the system if needed. I do recommend these. They are about $100 for the three, which is a little more than the others I had, but you get more for your money.

Not as expected, could not use the app
I read that these could also be added to your home power (hard wired) but was not the case. I decided to press on anyway and installed them. Downloaded the app to my iphone. Entered my info to set up an account got an email code for the app. The app never allowed me to enter any code it jusrt sat there. It doesn’t interact with my iphone at all and I could not enter the code nor use the app further. I called for support after awhile it said to leave a message. After that and other issues (could hardwire, could use any existing bracket or connection, could use the app or connect as it intended then could reach help = party over give me my money back! no other issues with my iphone or anything else. Did’t meet my expections the prodct, the app nor the service. Does the smoke and/or CO detector work – maybe, I don’t know there was a battery and the light came on and provided a reading but what I bought this for including the app use and connectivity between more than one unit I was never able to get to because the app would not allow me to enter their code nor move forward and help wasn’t available without leaving a message which didn’t work for me. Not what I expected nor wanted and it didn’t wiork for me.
