Great for baby proofing
Used this to keep our toddler from unplugging his floor fan during the summer. It has worked great. It was easy to install in his room and fit perfectly over the plug. Itâs very durable and stands up to him messing with it. He is now unable to get to the wall outlet and the fan stays safely plugged in.

Baby proofed myself
These are actually really great to keep the baby out. Also myself, my hands either aren’t strong enough or don’t work well enough to get the cover off when needed ð¹ luckily, I don’t need to take them off.Super durable, easy to install, but some plugs/cords are too large for it.

Great solution for a toddler room
Easy to install. Pretty solid. Does as intended.They definetly stick out from the wall but I dont have to worry about my toddler getting in. Sometimes it is not easy to open.Only Con I truly have is that cord storage is small.

Hard to open even for an adult
Definitely child proof because I’m an adult and it’s still tricky! That’s a plus in my opinion. The outlet for my baby’s camera is right behind her crib and I wanted it protected when she starts getting interested in stuff like that. Looks nice on the wall and can be installed in either direction so the cords can come out top or bottom. All I needed was a flathead screwdriver to change out the face plate of the outlet so install was very simple. This was the best price for an outlet cover on Amazon and I think the quality is good so it’s a really good value.

This almost works
This works fine for plugging in a normal lamp cord or thin wire, but cannot use with medium to thicker wire. Tried to plug in a power strip that would go into another child proofing box and it will not allow the cover to close. It is unfortunate because this is pretty great otherwise. Easy to remove if you need to vacuum and you can wind some of the extra cord inside the cover. Just can’t use with a power strip or moderate thickness extension cord.

Worked for a While; Not a Forever Solution
I’ve had one of these for a few years and just bought a second one for my daughter. My only gripe is sometimes it pinches cords and be hard to manage cord twisting when the cords go up.The device does have the ability for you to wrap around excess cord length around it, but it also impedes it from working properly so that definitely could be improved in the design.The product does work for a short-term solution for younger children or older children who struggle with fine motor skills, but for children who are exceptionally good at motor skill development and have the ability to sort of outthink the device, this might not be a lasting solution. It’s a good way to get in the door and give yourself a little bit of time to find something better to resolve this as it has a low-cost entry for purchase, but for the long-term solution, the device is just simply too simple for a child of higher critical thinking.

Es un producto con un buen acabado, El plástico es resistente, tiene las orillas redondeadas para evitar golpes y definitivamente cumple su función de disuadir a mi bebé, aunque es voluminoso no es llamativo y ni siquiera se le acerca. El único detalle es que es para cables delgados y yo lo utilicé con un multicontacto de cable grueso, aún asÃ, con un poco de dificultad pero quedó bien instalado. Definitivamente lo recomiendo.

I modified this to fit a decora receptacle, there was the exact same product for $20 that fit decora, or this one that fit older style for $7, only took 3 minutes with a drill and Dremel and it works perfectly to defend my plugs from a relentless toddler bent on destructionIt is a slightly off white colour, and was suspiciously cheaper (in my haste and excitement at finding one $13 cheaper I didn’t notice it didn’t fit decora) than other similar products. But I am very pleased with its function, and the colour is not really noticeable at all, I do see other people complaining about it, as well as the receptacle type, but it is very clear in the photos and product description so I have no sympathy. I bought 3 and have only installed 1 so far but it has been excellent.
