Soooo comfy, I don’t want to take them off
So comfortable! Very lightweight too, as advertised. The anatomical toe fits my wide feet well and even seems a pinch wider than some altras I have. They fit true to size, I’m a 9.5 in most and in these as well. They’re so comfy, I basically don’t want to take them off. I’m not a big fan usually of white shoes, but the white colorway with black laces looks really good to me in person.I mainly got these because I wanted something cushy like the Specter 2’s but also something that will be more durable and these fit that bill. The outsole rubber is way thicker, even though the foam may not be as bouncy as the Specters, it’s still nice and soft and will last longer against abrasive running surfaces like pavement.

Epic
These are epic sneakers. I’ve come from a long line of Nike, reebok, Adidas, generic junk, then found altra which blew them all away, and now newly discovered topo. These are the best sneakers I’ve ever tried on. They are not perfect, but they are the best on an initial impression first week with them. The other reviewer is correct, the tongue is too short because with the laces all the way up, they will slide off the tongue easily. That and the tongue loop is too low.. the top 2 holes for laces are curiously very far back. they look like those extra ones people don’t usually use but if you put them there, the tongue should fit with them. this is a minor gripe imo with an otherwise phenomenal sneaker.I’m glad it comes blacked out, outrageously comfortable, they could just use a higher tongue loop and a little extension on the top of the tongue. I just personally don’t use the extra high 2 loops. I’m not really sure what they’re for.You can see what I mean in the picture4.8 stars.

Great cushioning, good fit in size 16.
Was running in Topo Phantom 3 and Altra Escalante, retired the Escalante, always sore Achilles tendon the day after wearing them. Like the Atmos over the Phantom 3 but both are nice shoes. Atmos cushioning is better for longer runs.

Nice shoe but I prefer the Phantom
I like these shoes but I prefer the Topo Phantom model more. No real complaints and the shoe – it’s comfortable and feels durable. The tongue is oddly short like other people mentioned but it did not cause any issues or discomfort.I just prefer the more natural feel of the Phantom when I’m waking or running. I would recommend this shoe if you prefer the thicker stack like you find on a Hoka and want to try something with a wider toe box.

Obvious design fail, on an otherwise good shoe
The human race has been making shoes for thousands of years. Shoes with tongues in them have been made for hundreds of years. You would think that a shoe company trying to portray themselves as cutting edge, forward thinking and innovative; would not have a huge fail on such a simple thing as the shoe tongue. I read reviews where buyers complained about the tongue being too short, but I thought those reviews might be exaggerated. Although Topo is trying to compete with Altra, and have succeeded well in several areas, making the tongue too short is not excusable. I purchased the shoes, knowing this might be an issue, but I really didn’t think this would really be the epic fail some had pointed out. It is. I could not lace the shoes through the top holes and still keep the laces on top of the tongue. If I didn’t use the top holes, then the laces were much too long. I had to take the laces out, and use laces from another shoe. Altra, your competitor, recently had a big fail in design on their Torin 5, where the tongue cut into the ankle. Here is some basic, common sense advice: Don’t make a good shoe with a great design, and completely fail on one of the most basic components of the shoe. What were the designers thinking? Did anyone try out the shoe in real life? If the tongue was only 1/4″ longer it would have made all the difference. Any grade schooler tying their shoes would notice this. Don’t ever let one zinger of a mistake ruin a good shoe. I hope Topo succeeds. I hope Altra succeeds. I don’t hope Budweiser succeeds. Those ingrates made an even bigger mistake than just a bad shoe tongue. Do better! It isn’t hard.

These shoes have more cushion than Hokas.
My new favorite shoes! They allow the toes to spread, as well as having great cushion. I wear them to exercise on the treadmill, on my walks, and just about everywhere. When I donât have them on, I miss them!

Tongue is too short … Returned
Loved my Phantom2’s ,,, These Atmos with their extra cushioning was no big deal, no better than the Phantoms… The tongue is too short, and defective in my opinion … $170 ,,,nope…returning

So comfortable!
I’ve been a huge Altra fan for 8 years. Realizing the quality has taken a hit. I changed brands. Recently brought home a pair of Clifton 9’s. Great shoe no question. But after running with the enhanced toe box the Clinton 9’s after a few runs did not feel right. Downright irritating. Got a pair of TOPO Atmos. Incredible feeling for my feet. I run with the Chi Running method so the Atmos it’s perfect for how my toes can splay in the shoe. Very comfortable and very enjoyable. Haven’t had them that long and only ran a few times. But I’m thinking it’s going to be my next favorite brand no question. Happy Running!

Few months ago i get plantar fasciitis and i was looking for a pair of shoes to get relax my calf and ankles. I use to wear altra and merrel big toe box shoes with loe cushion and completely barefoot so now i decided to get something with extra cushion for my long hours at job and for the gym and running. Almost 3 weeks using it and it has been one of my best decisions ever. So comfortable, very reactive and a lot of room in the toe box to spread your toes properly. I havenât had any problem with the tongue like others people said but i get it, it could be 5 mm longer and everyone would be happy.
