Large (expandable) Pack is Almost Perfect
Five starts because there are too few quick release seat bags available and this one tics almost all the boxes.I loved my 2014 REI Novara large expandable bag (110-164ci-cubic inches) but installing a Thudbster seat post with it’s parallelogram mechanism up top induced stress when rotating it on and off, resulting over a year in the breakage of the receiving part of the quick release pair. This pack slides in and tab-locks from the back; there’s zero chance of encountering resistance. Unless you’re one of the unlucky folks who’ve been reporting instances of the pack’s leading edge being too long, contacting the seat post and disallowing the QuickClick to lock. Some of this will depend upon how forward the saddle is positioned, because this bag’s clamp can only attach to the long flat low parts of the seat rails, not the back part of the seat rails that angle up and away from each other. There’s no denying that there’s a lot of bag in front of where Topeak attaches the female part of the QuickClick pair. If your seat is very forward you might run out of “nose” room with this large bag (no matter whether it’s expanded or not since it expands rearward). In that case the medium size of this product would probably work for you. In any case there is some amount of slack because fabric is flexible. Unless you clamp your seat very forward on its rails, this bag allows clearance for at least a short-travel Thudbuster shock absorbing seat post. Lastly, you need a minimum clearance of 6.5″ between the bottom of the seat rails and bottom of the nose of the large size bag.For me the major bene’s and requirements are large capacity (expanded this bag is 120ci) and QuickRelease; because of the many expensive tools and components I store inside this bag goes with me inside coffee shops, etc. I like that the rear hatch has thin gussets that limit its travel when open to parallel to the ground, making sort of a shelf. I like the mesh pocked on that flap. I wish Topeak put mesh on both sides of the inside too. Even accounting for the expansion, the rear section could have mesh sleeves and the forward section pockets; this would accommodate users of both configurations. And it’d be nice were the bottom reinforced with the same plastic used to shape and strengthen the top (I was able to canabalize my broken Novara bag’s bottom section and the plastic piece works perfectly, nesting against a seam..Lastly, the one I received is all black. The top and bottom fabric textures are as pictured but the bottom on mine is as black as the top.

    Great Product that works perfectly!
This is for the Large Aero Pack w/fixer from Topeak.I love this bag. It is large enough to carry critical items like a small first aid kit, spare tube, tool kit, and my cell phone. Plus it expands and allows me to add even more if I need it. The quick release feature is awesome. When you need to leave your bicycle and use the rest room. You just slide it off and take it with you. I was worried that it might my too wide on my road bike; however, it is fine, no problem. It seems to be constructed well. Several people have complained about the top bracket (fixer) breaking. I can see where this could happen if you put too much weight in it, but it has been working fine for me. I highly recommend it.Aero Wedge Pack, w/ Fixer F25, Large

Great bag but not perfect for race saddles
I have the non-fixer version of this bag and love it. perfect size for my daily commutes and weekend rides. However the F11 fixer mount that comes with this will not fit a race style saddle with narrow rail clearances. You’ll have ot get a F22 race fixer.Topeak F22 Wedge Pack Fixer for Racing Style Rail SaddleAlso if you happen to use a non-setback seat post and/or have your saddle clamped very far forward, the bag itself will not mount on correctly. The QR plate on the bag will force the top portion of the bag to flex when you strap the seat post strap on and click in, bending the bag awkwardly. A smaller bag MAY help with this.

    Large Size Suits My Needs
I like this bag very much! I was not sure which size to order, given that I would like to take a compact camera with me on my excursions, so I settled on a large. The large contains 1.5 L I believe, and I was able to stuff quite a bit things in it without even expanding the middle compartment. I was not able to stuff my phone in there, but if I expand the pack. I am sure I can get the phone to go in as well. One of the pictures shows how it fits on a ladies extra small frame. My only complaint is that the outer zipper when it is all zipped up dangles against the fender. I am not sure yet how annoying this may be, but I guess I can wrap some tape around it if it clicks a lot.A flat kit fits in the bottom portion of the bag before it flares out, leaving the larger portion of the bag available for various items. I was able to fit a spare innertube, tire wrenches, a CO2 cartridge plus dispenser plus foam, with room to spare in the bottom of the pack. Then, I stuffed in a helmet liner, my camera, a pair of gloves, a compact lock, and my entire set of keys. Without the clothing I could probably get my phone in, and if not I could expand the bag. There were a number of criteria I used when picking out this bag: size, a “click” type of attachment mechanism under the seat, angle of the back for mounting a rear light. If necessary, size, and how it fits on the bike. I was pleased to see that it is angled in a way so that it will not bother my legs while I am pedaling and also fits under the seat without a lot of bulk sticking out. I like the click attachment under the seat so that I can take my goodies with me if I have to leave my bike. It really cost a lot to assemble all these items and I would hate to lose them, especially the pack!I found the locking mechanism easy to install under the seat, the slots for the seat rails are approximately 4 1/2 cm apart. It did not look like it would fit when I eyeballed it, but then it fit perfectly. I found that you can also get a replacement mechanism in case the plastic breaks.I will update this review if this bag fails me, but so far I like it.

    Too Wide Up Front
I wanted to replace my medium Topeak saddle bag with a larger one knowing the Topeak quality was excellent. Unfortunately, I had to return it because my legs were rubbing the side of the bag—it was too wide at the front. If it was tapered more it would have worked. If it is helpful I tried it on a road bike.
