Yes, you can charge an Apple Pencil while your iPad is in this case.
The case is attractive and sturdy. It fits my iPad Mini well and yet is easy to remove when desired. The iPad buttons work fine with the case on, and the microphone and charging ports are easy to access. Several reviewers mistakenly said an Apple Pencil can’t be charged with the case on the iPad, because the pencil holder is on the left (the opposite of the charging side). However, the case has thinner material on the right side where the pencil is charged; the pencil magnetizes to the iPad through the outer right side of the case and will charge while the iPad charges with the case on. After charging the pencil, you can transfer it to the holder under the cover for secure storage. The pencil and iPad are fully covered when the flap is closed. The iPad turns on promptly when the cover is opened and turns off when it is closed. Although I have severe arthritis and diminished dexterity in my hands, I can remove the pencil from the holder easily. It all works well for me. This case does not have an expensive feel, but I think its features are very good for the price.

This case looks and feels almost exactly like the apple version. very high quality silicon feel. great confident for one hand grip. the inside pencil storage is a way smarter design than apple or other brands. The case has a perfect fit for the pencil whereas the apple case keeps the pencil on the outside. ridiculous since the magnetic mount will easily flick off the pencil once you put it in put bag. Since this case does not charge while in the case, it’s not a big deal since the pencil charges super fast when placed on the iPad mini 6 magnetic charger. Great purchase and great price.

The color is eye-catching and so much nicer in person. The case fits my iPad mini perfectly and has precise cutouts. The stand works well and is very sturdy. Good value for the price.

The most comfortable case I’ve found
I tried many cases before finding the one that was just right. This is a fantastic case. I often hold the iPad mini 6 like a kindle to read. When held like this I’m often using one hand. The bottom rests on my pinkie finger and my thumb holds the side up. This means the bulk of the weight is on my pinkie finger. For this reason, the case has to be very comfortable on the bottom. Because the cover is folded back, if the edge is made of a rigid plastic it will feel like it’s digging into my finger. If the cut outs on the bottom of the case aren’t just right or the material is especially rigid, it can be uncomfortable resting on my finger. This case has none of those problems. It is the most comfortable one I have tried.The other thing I like about it is two options to hold the pencil. I like having the pencil on the magnetic right side when I’m reading as I pick it up and attach it back repeatedly to highlight or make a note. There is a place inside the case for it to be stored on the left side, when holding it like a kindle, and if I had to take it in and out of there constantly when reading it would be a pain and interrupt the flow. I could just hold it in my hand but I’m afraid I’m going to absentmindedly sit it down beside me when not using it and then lose it or break it. So I like having both options. Being able to attach to the right side for ease of repeated pickup or charging. I also like being able to store it in the case so when I’m on the move I don’t have to worry about it falling off.Very happy with this case. I will update my review if anything changes in regards to its durability as time passes. But right now, I highly recommend it.
