While a little bulky it makes camera operation easier
This handle makes taking photos and video a lot easier. With the shutter button only a short distance from your finger, you can still maintain a steady grip while pressing the button. It comes with a cold shoe mount and there is a connection available in the base to add another cold shoe or attach to a tripod. There is even a storage slot with a magnet for the Allen wrench to adjust the handle rails to connect to your camera cage. With a USB C connection port it has the potential to recharge fairly quickly. The sturdy nature of the handle allows for a good grip and I know that attaching a strap to the base or use of the cold shoe will not fail on me any time soon. The connectivity by Bluetooth allows for each button press to function each and every time I press it while it is on. My only complaint is that the rails seem a bit long on the handle and I wish it came with the option to have it mount on shorter rails so the handle was closer to the cage.

Easy to use, just what I needed
I had already got handles for this rig (came with the rig), but wanted something with more surface area and push button recording capabilities. This works perfectly.about the handles, it’s half metal, half plastic. However, the fit is perfect on the rig, there’s no wobbling around. The handles feel good and solid on the hand, I ordered two so the handles match on both sides, even though I will only connect one. It does not appear Neewer makes a handle in this shape without push button connectivity.Connection was effortless. I’m happy with this purchase

Not recommended for safaris or other animal watching
The handle works as described and the battery charge seems to last a good amount of time. The handle is also sturdy, although not entirely aluminum as others have noted.The biggest problem is the bluetooth timeout after 5 minutes. I bought this to use on a safari, where there is frequently lots of time between photo worthy animals being seen, and when they are seen, you need to take a shot quickly.The only way I found to get around this is to take photos every few minutes or so to keep the bluetooth connected. The problem with this is that later on when you sort through your hundreds of photos, you might not know that was a ‘keep alive’ photo of nothing important, and spend precious time looking through the photo for important stuff. I’m not a photog expert so others may think this is silly, but I solved this problem by covering the lens with something so that the shot was completely black, and no time was wasted after that sorting through photos.

Paired easily, happy I purchased this.
Paired up easily with phone (Samsung S23 Ultra). Handles fit fine on my Neewer phone cage and can be used on right or left side. Love how the allen wrench to tighten screws is held in handle by tiny magnets so no searching around for the wrench! And there is a cold shoe on top of the handle that can be used for a small light or microphone. The cage also has cold shoes but this puts the light off to the side so more lighting options. Handle is sturdy. The only thing I don’t care for is the rubberized parts. I know it helps grip, but all these rubbery parts get funky after awhile. Charges via USB C. Happy I purchased this handle.

My new go to for Media Production!
Bought this for my I phone 15 Pro Max which I use for almost every video I create and almost all my photography. I have a bunch of gimbals and tri pods but this little grip is now my one and only itâs sleek which means it doesnât limit my shot, and it has accessories in mind a handy light shoe mount. It also has a type c plug in as well and when mounted to the video cage which is not included an important fact the setup is extremely sturdy. Neewer has so many other items for filming I am now a customer for life and there products will be my go to for all my media creation needs. I highly recommend this item and will be reviewing more of there products in the near future!

The NEEWER Side Handle Grip with Wireless Remote Control Button is another well designed product from Neewer.I was pleasantly surprised that this new smartphone handle not only works with Neewerâs smartphone cages, but also with cages from their biggest competitor! I tested this on a Neewer iPhone 14 Pro Max cage #PA011, and a SmallRig Video Rig Cage for iPhone 13 Pro Max #3561 and it fits both perfectly. One of the handles even has anti-rotation pins made to fit the SmallRig cages.It is impressive that Neewer understands that people might own cages from other manufacturers. Since their gear is so consistently great, they obviously have nothing to fear from the competition.(Pro tip: Both of the cages I mention above work perfectly with the newest iPhone 15 Pro Max! No need to buy a new cage if you own this phone.)The Bluetooth shutter button on the handle paired easily with my phone and worked well on my iPhone.My only small complaint is that there appears to be no way to know when the battery for the Bluetooth shutter button is low, although Iâm sure it lasts a very long time since Bluetooth devices use such minimal power.For the reviewer that complained about one of the handles having two little âindentationsâ that get in the way – that handle is designed specifically for the anti-rotation holes on SmallRig cages, as well as the newest Neewer ones. It is not meant to be used on a flat rig or plate without those holes.
