These are so much better than the clumsy buttons I replaced.
Before buying these, I had built a 4-player cabinet on the cheap, and used those two-piece concave buttons you find everywhere. Even after cementing their switch to the button harness on my old buttons, I had been disappointed with inconsistency and timing during game play.These new ones are hair-trigger, compact, and rounded. The two small ones are really my favorite, but they’re all much, much easier to play games with than the old buttons. Also, I didn’t expect the LED to look as cool as it does in my system, which doesn’t show up in the photo quite as red as it does irl.The spade connectors are the miniature ones, so be prepared for that when wiring.

Good looking but no dead zone.
This is a good looking, inexpensive button. The only problem is it’s too sensitive. There’s almost no dead zone. You don’t need to press the button to activate it. If you keep your finger on the button you will activate the switch. That’s fine on my Atari 2600 paddle laptop builds. None of the games require an agile fire button. But this would never work for pushbutton games like Asteroids or Gravitar. In fact, any game where you want to keep your finger on the button during play won’t work properly.
