got this because I’d like to use a better mic input on my android phone instead of the stock mic. Now I do not have a auxillary port so im required to use a type c like this one. drawback is you cannot charge your phone while using this. In order to achieve what I’m trying to accomplish I could do so using a TRS & TRRS cable alongside this or a aux mic into the aux in on the adapter here. the other would be for a XLR setup of some sort. This feel high quality and I havent gotten any feedback as far as any recordings I have done so far so I’m happy for that because I wanted to avoid as much feedback noise as possible. Very cool cord and allows you to use more hardware with ur phone for recording video or voiceover etc…

I bought the the 16-bit “MMOBIEL USB-C to 3.5mm Aux Audio Headphones and Microphone Splitter” version, specifically for using it with the Google Pixel 8 Pro phone for video calls. I was hoping to utilize my Hollyland Lark M2 external microphone, which can connect via USB-C, but unfortunately, Android doesn’t support external audio output when the mic’s dongle is connected.To compare sound quality, I recorded some videos using both the mic’s native USB-C connection and this splitter with an analog microphone cable. You can see my setup on the picture. Unfortunately, the results were disappointing – the audio quality was noticeably worse when using this dongle, with a compressed and somewhat noisy sound.The splitter’s headphone output was clear and high quality, making it suitable for listening purposes. However, if you’re looking for a reliable solution for high-quality microphone input on your phone, this one is not great.

Selbst mit dem neuesten Software-Updates erkennt das iPhone 16 Pro ein angeschlossenes Mikrofon nicht als Mikrofon. Ich habe das bei Apple reklamiert und hoffe, dass das Problem gelöst wird. Der Split Adapter an sich ist tadellos gefertigt, nur eben im Moment für den gewünschten Zweck nicht nutzbar.
