There are times when a cotton tipped swab, rolled on paper stick, just won’t cut it. The problems are obvious. The cotton tip can be too small; or even unwrap, while you’re using it; or my favorite, the little paper stick breaks before you’re finished.These complaints have a simple solution. The large cotton swabs that come in their own storage box and, wrapped in a plastic envelope, to assure the swabs are fresh, and ready to use cleaning, my dog’s ears; cleaning dust from hard to reach places in my PC; cleaning the debris off the sensors in my mouse; I’ve even used them with a little paint thinner or gasoline, to wipe paint that ‘crossed the line’; and clearing grease from filthy auto parts, when I’m trying to somehow get my car running again.These swabs won’t disintegrate, even when I’m cleaning rusty tools that my wife left out in the rain. Their sticks are made from bamboo, so it takes quite a bit of pressure to break one, and they’re long enough to do all kinds of work.I really like ’em. Get ’em. But I wouldn’t stick ’em up your nose, twirl ’em around in your ears.

Plenty but not too absorbent.
These came nicely presented in a useful case that will keep dust from getting all over them but they aren’t super absorbent. The case can be reused which is a total plus. The cotton swab size is great for doggy ears and do a good job of cleaning them out without the risk of them falling too far in BUT, when I tried to wet one to get some dirt out of my pup’s upper ear area the water didn’t want to soak in to the cotton. It’s too tight, if that makes sense. Otherwise, they will be good for dry ear cleanings and likely some household things.

I’ve always used Qtips to clean my dogs ears, and it’s been a struggle. The Qtips bend with any amount of pressure, making them good for one swipe. It’s like trying to clean an ear with a toothpick that has a tiny bit of cotton on the end. Those finger wipes are a big problem too – human fingers are too big to fit in a dogs ear canal.The along came these swabs.The stick is strong and sturdy, and the cotton head isn’t flimsy – beefy enough to clean out the major part of “ear stuff” on a dog in one wipe.I will be stocking up on these – love em
