Clean & quality but taste, meh
Iâve ordered this product twice now. I do a wide array of workouts from weights to running to multi-functional. Iâve taken aminos from different companies for a long time but started to finally really research & felt much safer taking Thorne. The flavor isnât the best if you add too much water. Iâve always added around 20oz to my intra-workout aminos with no problem but this one will get watered down. I adjusted and itâs been good. Iâm also used to awful tasting soups and just powering through worse and this flavor is better than stuff I took up till the last few years. Newer people to using supplements might not like the flavor at all but trust me all workout supplements used to be awful. My recovery & muscle growth/lift gains have remained the same to the other products Iâve used with more mystery ingredients so there was no drop off there. Iâm okay with taking a step back on taste and variety rather than putting mystery crap in my body from lesser regulated big companies. Product quality wins this for me & Iâve heard from multiple non-Thorne associated experts that vouched for Thrones testing.

These taste so good! I love Thorne they have the cleanest ingredients and are third party tested. Mixes well with water or sugar free lemonade. I wish it came with more servings but over all effective source of energy and great for recovery!

Revolting Taste!
I generally like Thorne products. The taste of this lemon flavor is so horrible that I need to discard it. It is very fake and chemical tasting. And it is so strong that even mixing it in a smoothie doesn’t mask the flavor- in fact it overwhelms the smoothie. Huge disappointment. I haven’t made this poor a purchase in a dogs age. I’m not even that picky. I take collagen and creatine and magnesium without any issues. Yikes!

The product taste is fine..I’ll tell you why
Initially when I read the reviews I had my doubts about it because of the taste. Let me tell you, the taste is just fine. I have not problems with that. It is like taking the vitamin c you put in water. In the beginning I felt it was too sweet for my taste buds ( I don’t consume sugar or sugary drinks). But then my husband laughs of me because he is like you enjoy drinking it because you sip it out very slowly. I don’t even realized when I drink it.You need to know that everyone taste buds are different…so everything depends the Rx pills you take in a day, the food you eat, ect…all that changes your biochemistry, as a result, some people don’t have a good experience…key is to drink it with a full glass of ice water!!

After using Kion we’ve since tried Thorne and VitaMonk. The Mrs and I like both. I prefer Thorne and she prefer’s VitaMonk. As both are $10-15 dollars cheaper per month than Kion…we subscribe and save to both.Flavor is excellent. Good job lightening the sweet a bit v Kion yet still perfectly covering the amino taste no one wants.The amino levels are very good. I’d prefer a bit more Leucine but at least the 3 top EAAs, leucine, lysine, and Isoleucine are not kept somewhat ‘proprietary.’Excellent product.

Strong Flavor
The product has a very strong flavor with my morning fruit smoothie. Thorn is thought to be a good product that is tested but the packaging is less than desirable plastic that is probably not recycled. Glass would be a better option. I will look for other options.
