Great protection for a tiny baby in a big, convertible car seat
Since we live in a small apartment, we didn’t want to bother with the bucket car seats that most parents start out with only to have to upgrade to a larger car seat in a few months. (In hindsight, this was an excellent decision since our daughter is super-fat.) Of course, even though convertible car seats CAN hold newborns, they don’t necessarily hold them as securely as new parents might like. This is where we found ourselves during our car ride home from the hospital. Baby fit into the car seat (Britax Roundabout G4.1 Convertible Car Seat, Onyx), but she seemed too small to be secure.Enter the support pillow! We immediately felt much more comfortable securing our daughter into her convertible car seat once we had this pillow. It did a great job at securing her head and cushioning her little arms and legs. Though we had a winter baby and mostly used the soft, fuzzy side, we did flip it over to use the cooler “moisture control fabric” once it warmed up a bit here in Chicago. Both sides worked great at protecting our baby! Bonus – it also cleans up really well (which is important if you have a baby with major reflux issues… like us.)If you decided to forgo the bucket car seat and you’re new, easily scared parents like us, you will most definitely find this pillow to be a worthwhile purchase!

This “fixed” our Britax BSafe infant car seat
This support insert was absolutely necessary to make our Britax BSafe infant car seat work for our 6 lb 14 oz, 19 inch long newborn. Without it, the shoulder straps were too wide set to fit properly over his shoulders and he was slumped down in the seat in a position that was clearly not safe for him as his head pitched forward and could easily have affected his breathing. If this insert hadn’t worked we would have had to buy a new car seat, but the insert supported his body and positioned him so that he didn’t slump over as well as putting the shoulder straps in the correct position. We took out the head rest as it was too small for his head and didn’t really help anything anyway. I gave it four stars instead of five because it does make him hot and I wish it came in a “cooler” material. In the colder months it wouldn’t be a problem at all.

I somehow lost the original newborn inserts that came with this car seat, so I purchased this for our newest baby and I appreciate the fit in the car seat and the support it provides. My newborn finds it very comfy.

Works great in the B-Agile stroller
I purchased this so my newborn could ride comfortably in our B-agile stroller. It is soft and easy to put in and out. It looks like it would wash up well too.I see a lot of people use these types of inserts in their car seats to make their babies “more comfortable.” Do NOT use after market inserts in your car seat. The back of this insert says it’s only supposed to be used with Britax car seats. In other words, Britax has given you the OK to use it in a Britax car seat. If you have another brand of seat, your manual will say that you may not use after market products because they interfere with the straps of the seat. In fact, you will never see a Chicco or Graco manual, for instance, bless the use of an insert like this. In fact, use of after market products (i.e. products that didn’t come with your seat) will void the warranty and if you get into an accident and your baby is injured because you used something like this, you are out of luck.

Great as a newborn, bulky afterwards.
I purchased this to use with our Britax B-Agile car seat. I wanted something that our baby could be cozy and comfortable in. The insert that came with the car seat seemed thin and flimsy. Although this item seemed to be perfect for her as a newborn, now that she is three months old( and still less than 22 lbs. ) she couldn’t seem more uncomfortable. The side pillows are way too bulky now and she just looks stuffed in her car seat. As of today, we put the original insert back in and she seems way more comfortable. If I had to do it over again, I probably would purchase it again just because it worked so well at the beginning, just wished we could’ve used it longer.

Great product
I purchased the support pillow for the Britax B-Agile stroller about a month ago. I had great reservations about taking my month old child out for long walks while he was scrunched up in the car seat and I was right that it was extremely uncomfortable for him. Infants need to be able to stretch out for comfort and digestive purposes, and in the car seat he would wake up crying because the diaper and his clothes were digging into his skin from being in the same position for much too long. I now put him in the stroller and use this pillow so that his head is supported. He loves it, and I am glad that he is comfortable. I don’t know how cool it will keep him in the summer, but for the winter time it keeps him warm and supported and that’s all I can ask for.

LOVE this. Wish I purchased it earlier. Bought for my 4 month old in our B Agile stroller (she kept slumping over when she fell asleep). Also fits our BOB revolution stroller. Weâve been using the grey âcoolâ side, but itâs not really that cool. Itâs still a plush, padded liner for a stroller so Baby sweats a little if itâs hot, but it is so much better made than any other inset I found. Wish I would have purchased for her when she was a newborn for the B-Safe 35. Worth the money. Very happy with my purchase.

Our stroller can be used for newborns in its fully-reclined position, but it didn’t come with an infant-insert to keep our newborn from rolling around inside. We bought this support pillow primarily to stabilize his head and neck, as his body is kept in place with the stroller’s five-point buckle and straps. (Our kid is fairly large/long for his age).It does the trick – fits into our stroller well (the gloopy-starfish shape accommodates the straps) and our baby fits into it. The body of it is unpadded, so it doesn’t add to the heat on a hot day. There’s just enough padding around the arms and head to keep him looking comfortable and calm, even on bumpy terrain.There isn’t much to it, but if you need it, you need it – and we’ve been able to use our (pricey) stroller a few months sooner because of it.To those eyeing expensive add-ons which turn their strollers (temporarily) into prams: check to see if your stroller reclines flat (or nearly flat) and use an insert like this one. You’ll only need it for a few months anyway!
