Great
This Lifestraw pitcher is a replacement for a Clearly Filtered pitcher I had for years. The handle broke off, it was difficult to clean, and it was very expensive, so the search began for another option. Iâve been using this Lifestraw product for a few weeks now, and Iâm very happy so far. The company has a great reputation for filtering the water and actually making it safer, while also contributing to the those in need. I was able to fit the 10 cup pitcher in my refrigerator door after removing an upper shelf, which I think helps keep the pitcher cleaner than leaving it out on the counter. Also, the filling mechanism is superior to most competitors, as you donât have to take the lid off to fill and it doesnât leak if you pour before filtering is complete! The pitcher can become quite heavy on the wrist when filled, but I donât see the handle breaking easily because it is located higher than others Iâve used. I did purchase the silicone base/sleeve for protection because I have children who might put it down on a hard surface, and the sleeve fit like a glove. Can I also add that the Lifestraw pitcher is actually attractive? It isnât an eyesore on the dinner table if you entertain. That wasnât something I required, but it is added bonus. At this time, I would definitely recommend this pitcher filter!

Amazing
Best pitcher filter I ever used it is probably the fastest at filtering water Iâve ever used as well. And my hard nasty tap water tastes amazing after being filtered with this.

Highly Disappointed in Life Straw- Inferior Water Quality
Hardware: Clear pitcher is okay but the design of the pitcher will cause cracks over time. Molding plastic in this shape is tough because stress cracks usually will appear over time. The internal filter housing assembly (I bought Seafoam green) is not so great. There are 3 ribs of soft silicone rubber to seal the internal housing to the pitcher itself, but when pouring water the housing tends to wobble around and I found I needed to hold the top down with my other hand while pouring, the sealing rings are shite. I’m afraid the housing will just fall out of the pitcher while I’m pouring. The filter is awkward to fill and you need to do this a few times depending on how much water you just used. I’m sitting at the sink for 10 minutes to replenish contents which is ridiculous.Water Quality: Tasted like plastic even after priming the pitcher with 3 gallons prior to sampling. Should have been enough water to clear a new filter out. Followed instructions to a Tee. Total dissolved solids went UP not down. If you leave the pitcher at room temperature the water is even worse. Reminds me of drinking out of garden house where it had that funny plastic taste and smell. Leaving a cup of water overnight and sampling next morning is when I really could taste plastics.Final Thoughts: I’m highly disappointed in LifeStraw, I did not expect to have any issues. I will hold off buying the LifeStraw Community because I’m not 100% convinced its a solid product. I just don’t trust LifeStraw, I clearly taste plastic in the filtered water. Like why is the water quality so bad, I’m filtering regular tap water.

The BEST Pitcher!
Iâve had this in my cart for close to a year. It finally went on sale on Prime Day and I am so glad it did! A little pricier but worth it. Pitcher is a durable material (weâve already had one of the kids drop it and it survived without a crack)! Water tastes so good. Easy to keep clean. Looks super cute, too! The only downside is – as a family of 7, Iâm filling it up all day long because itâs not very large. Filters fairly quickly. Would definitely be better for a single person or smaller family. Still glad I purchased!

Update: great customer service! Pitcher leaking after 2 months
UPDATE: after reaching out to the manufacturer and explaining the problem they immediately sent out a new pitcher. This one is actually less slow in filling than the previous which leads me to believe that the other pitcher may have just been a lemon. Would recommend! Only filter known to also filter out bacteria. Great for filtering well water! Great customer care!!After only two months I noticed that the pitcher seemed to be leaking. I found two cracks at the base. The pitcher has never been dropped. My only thought is maybe it bumped the shelf when being placed in the fridge. I would expect it to hold up better than that. Water filtration is slow.

Essential health tool
I live in a small town where, like so much of America, the infrastructure is aging. We don’t have boil water notices but we do have regular water system breaks so that the water runs brown. I worked at the hospital and noticed that from time to time, even with all the hospital water purification filtering, sometimes the water did not pass testing to be given to patients. This grabbed my attention and suggested to my mind that perhaps my Britta water filter was inadequate for drinking water. I hate generating all the empty plastic and toting what is essentially tap water from elsewhere home from the store. Thrilled to learn that LifeStraw came in a pitcher form. I have been very happy with the results. Also beautiful. Advice, though – pay extra and get the glass version if you want to run it through the dishwasher, they’re not kidding when they say the plastic version is not dishwasher safe.

Not Perfect!
So this is my second life structured after six months of having the first one had to replace it because of leaks from the bottom. Didnât think anything of it I thought maybe we put it down too hard on the counter every time we use it. So I purchased a second one and started placing it on a softer material six months forward, and I am seeing leaks again. The leaks from the deck leave pretty substantial thatâs on the counter and I also donât want to ruin the granite. Looking closely at the joke. I realized that itâs not one complete plastic sheet. It has a vertical seen running through the center and then a bottom circular base thatâs attached to the cone of the junk so essentially creating two separate seams where the water seems to be coming out from. Why is the water jug great when it was working absolutely. I also like life shots. Other products that I have a travel very disappointed that this didnât work the way I had hoped.

The LifeStraw filtered water jug is a solid choice for those looking for clean, great-tasting water on a daily basis. The filter does an excellent job of purifying water, leaving it tasting fresh and clear, without any of the usual aftertaste from tap water or bottles. Itâs incredibly easy to use and does a great job of reducing contaminants, making it a reliable option for everyday hydration. My only real disappointment is the container itselfâwhile functional, itâs not made of glass, which would have been a nice touch. A glass design would have felt more premium and sustainable compared to the plastic construction. Nevertheless, the jug is durable and does the job well, making it a great investment for improving your water quality without the need for single-use bottles.I am a picky water drinker and prefer bottled water but this tastes great and I approve!

Tiny cracks in the bottom and leaks slowly and endlessly.

I have the 7 cup glass jug and love it so I ordered the 10 cup glass jug as I attempt to eliminate micro plastics in my water. Much to my surprise even though the description says the jug is glassâ¦.it was plastic. The supplier was ALLIZGIT and when I had to return due to their wrong descriptionâ¦.they told me I had to pay the return postage. I live in Canadaâ¦they are in the USAâ¦cost for postage is $32 CDN. I complained to Amazon and they gave great service by reimbursing my postage! Do not deal with ALLIZGIT!
