    Excellent bottle
So I have a bunch of stainless steel bottles 1 liter + and much like the Rambo style survival knife philosophy, it’s great and highly capable, but so big and bulky I just wind up leaving it home. Then you don’t have it when you need it. This was the case with the 1 liter SS bottles so I wound up just using a plastic disposable bottle. Not the end of the world but I wanted the versatility of a steel bottle for the just in case factor. The titanium is a luxury I admit. However I am a firm believer in buy once cry once and have it forever. Due to the slightly reduced volume and slimmer dimension I am keeping it in my pack and will use it every day. Another thing is I wanted all steel ( or titanium) construction, no plastic. The top is titanium with a silicone ring which is necessary to prevent leaking. Good quality. The ring on the top for attachment is sturdy. This was a deal breaker with other bottles I’d considered before I decided on this one. I read in reviews how others had bent or even snapped off. I think this ring will hold up well. As for the bottle itself it is well constructed. There are no obvious seams and the feel of the bottle is light yet sturdy. The width of the mouth is perfect, not too big or small. The sleeve appears to be of good construction and it may buy you a little more cold time. It will also soak up condensation for the sweating issue so that’s good, and provide a measure of protection against denting. I personally wanted single wall construction so I could boil and cook in with it if need be. I don’t really care if it doesn’t keep my water ice cold for hours. If I want that I’ll use a double wall bottle. The bottle seems solid. I would recommend this bottle for the aforementioned reasons if that’s your vibe.Be safe!!LD

Great products and Best quality customer care and service.
I am endorsing this bottle for its superior material and design. It has replaced my plastic bottles, and I use it more regularly. Its lighter in weight, withstands high heat, and doesn’t leak plastic into my liquids. Also, the customer service and warranty departments are receptive to my needs. They are friendly, supportive and very professional. They helped me navigate through the necessary websites and processes, smoothly, and replaced my bottle products prompt. I highly recommend purchasing this Titanium bottle and any other products from SILVERANT here on Amazon and I am grateful for the customer care department.

    As advertised, but smudges easily
So I’m not going to lie, I bought this water bottle purely to look cool. There’s no practical reason to have a titanium water bottle, when toxin-free plastic water bottles are readily available and insanely light (not to mention cheap). That said, is there anything more awesome than titanium? I couldn’t resist. And I know my friends will be jealous when they see it. Call it sad, that’s fine, I’ll even agree with you. But there are few joys to being a middle-aged man. Let me have this one.Anyway, the bottle itself is fantastic. I got the slim style with the narrower top, and I love everything about the way it looks. The screwtop fits perfectly, precision manufactured. I don’t know what else you could really say. It’s a titanium water bottle and it’s freaking awesome. It’s super light, and a high capacity that will be very useful to me on backpacking trips. I’ll pack it in and out empty, and it’ll be just as great as my current plastic water bottle that will now never be used again because I spent a lot of money on a titanium one instead for no good reason.I appreciate that it comes with a thermal sleeve to keep liquids cool or warm, but I’ll never use it. I bought a titanium water bottle to have a titanium water bottle, not to hide it in a sleeve. Plus the sleeve adds weight. Why buy an ultralight water container and then add weight to it? So it’s a nice touch, but will just end up in a cabinet. So if I love this ridiculous thing so much, why 4 stars, you ask? It’s because of the texture on the main bottle. While the neck of the bottle is smooth, the rest of the bottle has been textured very slightly, like a very fine powder finish. It looks really great, like the epitome of titanium gray, until you touch it. The texture causes fingerprints, water spots, etc to be accentuated. I can only imagine how grubby this thing will look after applying sunscreen and then taking a swig. I’m sure the company decided on this texture for functionality, and I have little doubt the texture will help with grip. But it’s kind of a bummer to spend so much on a titanium water bottle and know that most of the time it will look dirty. So while I acknowledge that the company has my best interests at heart here, I kind of wish they hadn’t. As I said, there is no practical reason for this object to even exist, so you might as well make it look as nice as possible and give it a smooth finish that will stay clean-looking.

    Super expensive, very touch texture
This is very lightweight, and seems strong enough. However, it’s super expensive. And the texture is pretty rough. I saw a video where they tested bacteria growth in water bottles, and it seemed that the rougher surfaces allow bacteria to grow more easily. Plus it’s not that comfortable to hold. And then the slight danger of losing it make a risky purchase.

Review for 800 ml slim, sandblasted (only finish available at time of review) @ $107 CDN before tax.The first impression was extremely positive and that has endured and grown with use. It feels bomb-proof, yet feather light (except for the lid [*1]). I have unexpectedly found myself drinking much more water after getting this simply because it is so nice I enjoy and want to interact with it as much as possible. It doesn’t come cheap though so I first must address the elephant in the room: why pay over $100 for titanium when you could get an aluminium, stainless steel, or plastic bottle this size for probably 1/5th or even 1/10th the price?Aluminium needs to be internally coated, and that coating may have limitations like “no hot liquids”, and while one would hope it is good in all other ways, it’s possible that it may impart flavours to the drink, or may break down over time. While very light, aluminium is also not particularly strong so it will dent easily and cannot be used in a fire.Plastic is even worse, possibly cracking, possibly breaking down in sunlight due to UV or just with age and use, and (again, though ideally this would not happen) is most likely of any kind to impart flavours or chemicals to the drink. Obviously, it could absolutely not be used in a fire. It will also scratch easily and just doesn’t feel very special.Stainless steel is going to be the closest experience you can get. It should be free of coatings, durable, usable in a fire, and won’t degrade or impart tastes. It is heaver though, and conducts heat better (less insulating). Theoretically it could also be produced with the same blasted matte finish, but I tend only to see shiny/polished offerings which may or may not be to your taste. It also appears that most of the bottles available are of poor quality and can spring a leak due to poor construction and QC.Finally, bottles of any type tend to have plastic lids, sometimes with very poor and/or small threads that make the seal unreliable, and make it easy to accidentally cross-thread the lid damaging it and/or the bottle. I’ve experienced this with my Laken bottle. This bottle is entirely titanium including the lid (except for the silicone seal) and feels extremely well built. [*1] I have not weighed them objectively but in my hands I swear the cap weighs almost the same as the rest of the bottle when empty. The threads are extremely chunky and well made. You will never accidentally cross-thread it, and you will never fail to get a strong closure that does not leak. Even unscrewed partially, this bottle only leaks a small bit when held upside-down and shaking it – about the same amount as my Laken bottle when screwed on fully and then “tilted”, as that lid is prone to doing. When fully closed, it feels incredibly secure and never leaks. Unlike my other bottles I have zero concern that the lid may leak even when sealed, or may tilt out of its threads, or may be pulled straight out of the bottle. I would not hesitate to throw this in with other items in any orientation when full, confident that the liquid will remain exclusively inside.Objectively then there is a justification for titanium (or at least this titanium bottle specifically) but, we must be honest with ourselves, there is also an element of “I just like it and I’m willing to pay more for that”, and if that isn’t you, give the other options another consideration. The included neoprene [*2] sleeve is very nice. A snug fit that insulates and protects the bottle while giving an easy option to clip it to a bag if you didn’t want to use the lid for that. The shape is nice too, more easily thrown in a bag than a cylindrical bottle and just looks nicer too in my opinion. If that isn’t a concern however, you may want to get the cylindrical one since it will be lighter for the same volume due to being a more ideal shape. It is very comfortable to drink from, with the size of the opening being not too small or too big, the lip being thin and crisp but not even remotely sharp, and the ring indent around the neck fitting the bottom lip nicely. It also pours out very cleanly, though pouring in can be difficult due to the small opening if pouring from a wide cup for example. You will also not be able to put ice cubes in this unless they are quite thin. I measure the opening including threads and any other intrusions to be 3 cm of clear space, and 3.3 cm internally around the rim at the top of the opening. While I can’t look 20 or 50 years into the future, at this point I fully believe their claim that it will last a lifetime, which should help further justify the price I think. I could imagine potentially needing to replace the silicone seal at some point but, that may even turn out not to be the case.[*2] I do not know for certain that’s what it is made of, and they do not claim that it is, so it probably isn’t admittedly, but it looks and feels like it.

My husband is strong, like really really strong. After getting 2 of these we boiled some water and left it in the bottle with the foam cover on it to see how long it would stay warm. After 2 hours, they had cooled down quite a bit so we tried to open them to test how hot the water is. A few hours later and even after having cooled them down in cold water and the fridge. We simply cannot get the caps off.One of the caps looks like it might be slightly cross threaded. The other looks completely centred. Neither of them have budged. My husband’s hands are completely blue from trying to get the lids off. They seem fused/welded on now. Titanium melts at over 1,668°C how on earth was some boiling water enough to make the lids stick like this?Lastly, we boiled the water because first of all the instructions recommend it! Second of all the manual says that these are quote “perfect for open campfires” and thirdly, because many buyers said that the first few times using there’s a bit of an off taste, likely from some of the machining oil. We didn’t want any of that, so boiling water for cleaning them was meant to be a great way to test how long they stay hot and to hopefully get rid of any manufacturing residue. For almost $100 each, we aren’t impressed and the caps are clearly a problem and need an improvement. Even though they supplied some cheap plastic caps, we aren’t interested in plastic. Otherwise we wouldn’t have bought insanely expensive titanium bottles…We’ll reach out to Silverant about this. I hope the caps do come off properly later. Just be super warned how easy it is to burn yourself from the titanium and that the caps stick.
