Cumbersome to use, and made my congestion EVEN WORSE
I live in a very dry climate, so I got this purifier/humidifier in the hopes that it might help with my mild night-time congestion issues and dry skin. I used it off and on for a couple of weeks in accordance with the included instructions, only ever filling the water tank with cool filtered water. I mainly used it in “sleep mode” overnight in my bedroom, which runs the machine in a quiet low mode and turns off most of the lights on the unit (the “sleep mode” light that remains on is still annoyingly bright by itself, though). The buttons on the top of the unit were not always very responsive, though the remote worked well. I’m still honestly not sure what “UV Mode” is supposed to do, meanwhile, considering there is no description of it whatsoever in the manual or on the box (only info about turning it on or off). The water tank is a pain to fill as well, since you have to struggle to grab these two lil’ tiny tabs on either side of the plastic grill on the top to pull it off the unit in order to either remove the tank or pour water into it.The biggest problem that I have with this machine is that it did not live up to its promise. It was supposed to provide a “healthier” air situation in my room via the hepa filter and humidifier, and yet I found over several uses and a bit of testing that having this thing running in my bedroom as I slept actually served to *worsen* my congestion. On a couple of nights, for example, I had to get up in the middle of the night once or twice to blow great gobs of snot out of my nose and hack up several loogies from a sore throat. I finally turned off the unit, and was eventually able to get back to sleep, only to finally wake up in the morning with my vision clouded by strings of mucous clinging to my eyelids. I never had these issues before, and this machine was the only variable that had recently changed, so I must conclude that it’s to blame, and I am returning it for a refund.(Edit: Never mind. I can’t return it because I no longer have the original packaging. >: I could’ve sworn I’d kept that box…)

Best in bang for your buck!
I bought 2 different models. My wife’s 300 plus dollars model by a different manufacturer just stopped working. This hunter brand still works great and has more features. I live in dusty phoenix,AZ so these have to work when needed and I just bought a 2nd one today. I’ve owed this one for 1 year with no issues. Also it looks great.
