Quiet and Effective Air Purifier
I purchased two Jafanda JF888 air purifiers recently. The first thing I noticed when received was that they were well packaged to prevent damage in transit. The inner wrapping is strong enough to allow for lifting the unit straight up out of the box. These units have dual motors and twice the filter area of most other air purifiers, so they are silent in auto mode and should do a better/faster job of cleaning the air than other brand-named models that I have owned. I was also looking for a unit that has a high clean air delivery rate (CADR). This one has it, especially for formaldehyde reduction. (which is likely found throughout the entire home) The Wi-Fi hook-up was simple and with that you have more control functions through your smart phone. Most other brands use an infrared sensor to detect particles in the air, but this unit uses a high-accuracy laser sensor which I find to be somewhat more sensitive to and effective at eliminating cooking odors, aerosols, sprays, etc. With five speeds, once the bad air is detected the unit “sees” red/turns red and kicks into high gear, so the clean air is on the way. I was especially looking for an air purifier that would reduce the amount of dust in my home. With more air being moved and greater filter coverage area this one is doing the job for me. Filter replacement costs are in line with other similar brands. Oh, did I mention that the units have wheels so that they can be rolled around in the room or from room to room? Since I have only had these air purifiers for about a month I can’t comment on longevity or customer service but so far so good. I do highly recommend them though. They seem to be a good quality, well-built product. Stay tuned for a possible follow up down the road.

Nice air purifier, works well.
I’ve had this air purifier for almost a year now and it has performed well. It sits quietly in the corner of my living room and purifies the air in this 765sqft room. The PM 2.5 never goes above 003 on it. The one time it did was because of the west coast fires last year. I had it set on Auto and it would speed up and slow down, proving that it was doing its job. IMO, it is pretty expensive for an air purifier but as it works, I can’t really complain about it.Also note that while it is quiet at speeds 1 and 2, it does get much louder at 3 and above. It’s a significant difference between 2 and 3.My only real complaint is how expensive the filters are. The product documentation says that the filter lasts a year, but I got about eight months out of it. My air is not generally dirty but after eight months, the filter started to smell like burning plastic and it shot the PM 2.5 up to 130. I added a negative review because I thought that it was broken and burning. I bought a new filter set and have been running it for a week with no further problems, so support was correct about it being the filter and I’ve modified this review to reflect that. Anyway, the filter set cost me $79.99. That is quite pricey for something that lasts four months less than the product information says. It would even be too expensive for something that actually lasts a year. You can get it for $8.00 less using subscribe and save but still, too expensive. There are knock-off filters that are a lot less expensive. My experience with knock-off filters on other purifiers are that they work just as well. I didn’t go that direction with the filter this time because I wanted to be able to tell their support that I used the “proper” filter but I suspect that I won’t be buying any more brand name filters in the future.And while I’m on the topic of support, these guys did a a great job. They were very responsive and even checked in a couple of times when they hadn’t heard from me after the new filter cartridges solved my problem. Even after almost a year, they were available to help.Another thing to keep in mind is that if you register your purifier on their website, you get an extra year warranty. Don’t forget to do that.So the product is a solid 4 stars, largely because of the cost of replacement filter cartridges. I give support a solid 5 stars.

Hi folks, so I will start by saying this. I had a company come to my home and quoted to encapsulate my basement, while here we ran a radon test and numbers were right around 100 and they say 100 or less is normal and wouldn’t affect our health but also stated that number would rise quite a bit as the dampness in our basement worsened over summer months. The company that done this quote for me sold an Aspen air purifier and convinced me to purchase one and it worked ok but was very expensive at a bit more then 2000 dollars and was heavy and awkward move around, unlike the JF999 it’s light and has wheels so it’s very simple and easy to move it around until you find that sweet spot. I did however ask for a 30 day no questions asked on a return for the Aspen unit and they had no issues with doing so. Believe me when I say I have tried and reviewed about 5-6 different units, no names mentioned. The JF999 was recommended by the staff at Jafanda and I am so glad they did, both me and my wife are smokers and we have 3 Pomeranian dogs in our home. To start we put the JF999 right to the test, we are smokers but we don’t smoke in our home. So we both had a smoke right in the same room as the JF999 at the same time, when the JF999 detects gas/odours the numbers rise on the unit. So right after we smoked the numbers shot right up to around and about 160-170, 5 minutes after the smokes it dropped itself down to 0.5-1 and that in itself was impressive to us. We then kept watch on odours and hair from our puppies and wasn’t much anyways but this purifier also removes dog/cat hair as well as any odours. A week in we are super impressed with the JF999. To bring up the Aspen again that we had purchased done 1500 square feet and believe it or not it’s tough to find air purifiers to do that big of a space. We were so shocked to see that the JF999 is rated for 4500 square feet and for the price was hard to wrap my mind around it. We are in Canada and the unit is regular 699 and we were pleased to see it was onsale for 499, 200 off the original price 👍 my aunt and uncle were on the market for a new air purifier as well, they do/did have a smaller Dyson but was a one room purifier that was only good for 300 square feet. So when we purchased, we purchased together at the same time. In conclusion I would not hesitate on buying one of these units, it does everything the ad claims it can do and does it very very well. I owe Jafanda nothing nor do I work for them, I am just a buyer that is giving this unit a great review and the JF999 deserves every word of it, any questions feel free to message/ask. Also the unit came very very fast, just over a day and we ordered, we ordered Wednesday afternoon and had it first thing in the morning on Friday 👍 as for the second unit, we ordered late on a Thursday and had it first thing Tues and I think it would of been here on Monday except it was May long. Jafanda’s customer service was superb and very friendly and had a great knowledge of their products 👍 I definitely recommend the JF999 to each and every one of you. Personally I wouldn’t even have to think about ever purchasing from Jafanda ever again. The unit also comes with a 2 year replacement warranty, I don’t over exaggerate when reviewing this product, both my wife and I along with our aunt and uncle are super happy with the purchases we made👍 thank you so much Jafanda and we look forward to a scent free home as well as those little hairs that hide in the corners from us. We thank you from our aunt and uncle as well, they are seniors and don’t understand all of technology. My aunt has asked that we visit their home and make sure they have everything on proper settings and I shall sit with her side by side as she writes her review as well 👍

I bought the JF888 last October 2023 for my living room, following with the JF260 for my bedroom and the JF100 for the bathroom the following 2 months. After using my Jafända for 9 months I think it’s time to do my review. I’m in my 80s and have a long history with air purifiers. I was diagnosed with dust allergy way back in the early 70s. I replaced 2 living-room purifiers with the JF888 and was immediately blown away by how amazingly easy it was to set it up, and especially how amazingly quiet it is compared to my previous units. In fact I cannot hear it at all on my lower setting – no, my hearing is good in spite of my age! Honestly I still can’t believe how such a good product is available at such a reasonable price – and I’m all for encouraging those companies doing that. So I replaced another 2 air purifiers by the JF260 in the bedroom and the JF100 replacing the one in the bathroom. However, I was convinced there must be an angle – like those printers making their profits on ink supplies, so I expected to have to buy filters frequently … but I’m glad to report after using all three units for the last 7-9 months all filters are still fine – I don’t smoke and don’t allow smoking in my flat. Judging by how fast my sinuses clear up when returning home they are pretty efficient. I do suggest turning the JF888 off when cooking, especially broiling, I set the bedroom JF260 on night setting during the day and switch it on at night – can’t hear it (nothing wrong with my hearing!) and also suggest turning off the bathroom JF100 for hot baths. Go for it, truly an amazingly good product. I highly recommend it.Chris
