From the brand
When we say Epic, we mean Epic. Our proprietary, multi-patented blend of filter media eliminates up to 99.99% of the harmful contaminants other filters leave behind such as chlorine, heavy metals, industrial & agricultural pollutants and trace pharmaceuticals. Why settle for anything less?
Filtered Water Wherever you go
How did we get our start?
Epic was founded by Ash in 2015. Having just moved to the US from Asia and witnessing first hand plastic pollution on the beaches that got him thinking there had to be a solution to this environmental time bomb.
What problem are we solving?
It’s now clear that developed countries are the worst offenders of single-use bottle pollution as the citizens of these countries do not trust the quality of their municipal water, due to industrial and agricultural pollutants. The faster the world realizes this-the better for everyone.
Why do we love what we do?
Our goal has always been environmentally minded and we find value in not only practicing environmental stewardship as a company but also supporting others who do the same.

Pure drinking water for the health of you and your household.
I bought a second Epic Water pitcher for children and grands to use when they came to town for a visit recently. The water where I live is contaminated with a very high level of PFOS, one of the PFAS forever chemicals and our water company is constructing a new plant, to be completed sometime by 2029 just to be able to remove PFOS. Post departure of our younguns I now use both pitchers by Epic and it helps keep up with filtering cooking water, drinking water, and even the water I put out for the critters outside. The water tastes amazing and the EWG (Environmental Working Group) listed Epic Water pitcher as their favorite for value, ease of use, and effectiveness in removing PFOS as well as lead, iron, cadmium, and other contaminants.

Visibly clear and filtered yummy water
This is a work-horse water filter. I haven’t done any scientific tests on the water quality but the visual difference in pre and post filter is brilliant – even after 2 months of use with well water. The pitcher cap design could use some improvement as I have to hold it open to refill water, else it shuts mid-refill. But that’s not a deal breaker at all.

Easy to use, great-tasting water, filters fast enough
Good-looking product, easy to clean and assemble before first use. The enclosed filter didn’t include the required, clear silicone gasket which the Mfr promptly solved by sending me a whole new filter! Threw out the first three pitches as recommended. My first taste of the filtered water shocked me with how clean and clear it tastes. I can’t get enough. Surprisingly, I find that this water doesn’t quench my thirst as well as my Pur tap filtered water, but it just makes me drink more. A happy trade-off.The 90-day counter is cute, but as a single man, it’s not super useful because it’s designed for family usage. Some reviewers complained about it being slow, but I just fill it up for later and walk away. It takes about 10 minutes.I also found that it’s best to wait for the filtering to complete before pouring because it’s possible to use it while the hopper is partially filled and end up with some unfiltered water in the glass. I did a little adjusting and seem to have solved that problem. I also imagine it’s possible the weight of the water against the lid could knock the lid off if used early. This is so good, I also got one of their Filtered Water BottlesHighly recommended!

Good water filter pitcher with a few caveats…
Just received Epic Pure Water Pitcher and these are first few impressions. What I like… Local municipal water definitely tastes better. If all goes well then Epic Pure Water Pitcher is good bang for the buck. What I don’t like… Even after allowing upper section with unfiltered water to completely empty and stand for a while, when pouring filtered water out through spout, unfiltered water that was trapped inside filter will escape out spout and mix with filtered water. You can not fully empty filtered water without this happening. Not ideal design but somewhat manageable.Product listing says “10 cups.” Not sure what this refers to? One cup is 8 oz. x 10 cups = 80 oz. Filtered water chamber is barely 8 cups.Bottom line is that you can have good tasting water at affordable price if you can manage a few drawbacks.

Decent water, problematic pitcher with short-lived filters, might still be better than most
I bought this pitcher after what felt like an excess of research. The TLDR; for those looking for filters in 2023 is that there are only three-ish brands filtering anything all that novel out of the water, meanwhile the big brand names barely remove anything at all and are coasting off of fame alone. This is one of those filters that somewhat uniquely removes fluoride among a bajillion other things while allegedly not pulling out some of the healthy minerals like magnesium.I didn’t test the water (you can find plenty of probably somewhat scientific tests on youtube if interested) but from flavor it tastes very clean, especially after replacing the filter. From flavor and smell alone (which is all that I can test) I would absolutely believe that this filter is doing a great job.So the water seems good, now onto the bad stuff. The pitcher design as many have noted is quite poor. It isn’t unlike many of its competitors in having a mostly flat lid that likes to fall off or LEAK unfiltered water from top reservoir into the bottom reservoir while pouring. It seems utterly idiotic. If I were rating this item in isolation from the rest of the market I would absolutely flunk it and say, hey go back to the drawing board with this pitcher. But given that its competitors all have something similarly stupid, and the few pitchers that are better designed don’t produce water that is particularly good, here we are, stuck with this piece of crap. Is it manageable? Sure you can kinda do this weird two hand pinch thing where you apply pressure to the top and pour it without too much backwash. Sometimes one pours it and it actually works out just fine. It isn’t a total failure, just finnicky and sometimes total trash. And now onto the filter life… it ain’t good. They claim these things last 2-3 months. This is plainly a lie. They last closer to half that, and they’re clearly degrading rapidly as time goes on so I’m not even sure if claiming 6 weeks is fair. I would be very curious to see water quality tests that measure the filter after a few weeks. I’m not using water at some excessive rate, it is pretty much in line with their estimates. As time goes by the water filtration gets slower and slower, and the water tastes less filtered. The top reservoir remains full for longer, which then triggers the problems from the previous paragraph much more frequently (the lid falling off or water leaking from top to bottom). In the end this makes this filtration scheme quite expensive because we’re somewhere in the $320-$500/yr range if we stay diligent with the filters (my estimate based on my current consumption by 2 people, and we don’t even filter the water we use for cooking or tea, just the cold drinking water).Should you get this pitcher? Idk. Is it a scam? Partly, for sure. Is it LESS of a scam than the other filters? Well it does appear to produce quite amazing water for awhile, so there’s that. I would certainly consider it to be more of a scam to pay half as much but not even have good water.

Really healthy water
I discovered that there was lead in the water line from street to my house. We acted fast. The data showed that the Epic Water Filters Pure Filter Pitchers for Drinking Water, 10 Cup 150 Gallon Filter, Tritan BPA Free worked really well at removing 99.99 percent contaminants. The price is quite reasonable. Water taste great. The filter hangs on for quite a while. The filter process is slower. But ok. What we do is fill the Epic and then after the water is filtered pour the filtered water into our old filter for use and keep filling the Epica as needed. Only minor problem is pouring sprout cover for filtered waterer can break. But still worse fine.

Love it! The water tastes so much better and not chemically. Worth the price!

I hardly ever leave reviews, but had to with this product. I had been really sceptical after reading other reviews but having had this jug for a few days Iâd say the build quality is actually very good. Plus it has good styling and looks great too. Personally Iâd say itâs as well made as a Brita. We use this in an office environment and so far itâs been well received. So much so Iâll buy another one.The water quality after filtering is excellent. Iâd definitely put this up there with some of the better quality spring waters. The difference is literally night and day.Weâve had no poring issues what do ever. Other reviews had said that when the top reservoir has water in it, it can push the lid off. But we take some self responsibility and either a) let the water filter through first, or b) hold the lid when we pour. That way itâs guaranteed not to leak, or push the lid off. Plus it seems to pour perfectly too. This is being used daily in an office, so if there was issues Iâm sure they would have arisen by now.Pity the replacement filters are so expensive but thatâs a small price to pay for clean water, and may be as the brand grows the price will reduce. The one other thing we liked was this filter removed plastics and other nasties, but leaves the naturals trace minerals. All in all a great design, well made leaving us with great tasting and most importantly clean and safe water.

The replacement filters are expensive and often out of stock, but this is without doubt the best water filter jug Iâve ever had. I now have three, as Iâve had to purchase a new jug when filters are either not available or almost as expensive as a new jug complete with filter.
Diana Adams –
Nice large jug. The filtered water really does taste clean and crisp. The lid is a bit flimsy and can detach when pouring but it’s okay if you hold it down while pouring. I recommended buying this!
