We know a handful of Switch 2 games…we know release dates…we know pricing. What else is there left to learn? How about file sizes for those who are planning to go the digital route? Well now we have some of that info too.
Thanks to the Japanese side of Nintendo, we have our first look at Switch 2 game file sizes. In particular, we have the details on multiple first-party offerings. Here are the file sizes revealed thus far:
- Mario Kart World – 23.4GB
- Donkey Kong Bananza – 10GB
- GameCube Nintendo Classics – 3.5GB
- Super Mario Party Jamboree – 7.7GB (Switch 1 – 5.3GB)
- Kirby and the Forgotten Land – 5.7GB (Switch 1 – 5.8GB)
Mario Kart World is the biggest out of the bunch, but by and large, these file sizes…aren’t so large. With this in mind, there’s really no need to rush out an snatch a microSD Express card, at least if you’re sticking with first party titles. Hopefully we get insight on third party game file sizes soon.
