You get what you pay for
At 8 bucks you get what you pay for, a small tin that can fit in your palm. In my opinion it doesnât really smell like cedar or pine, more like a really strong forest scented yankee candle. If youâre looking for something deep and earthy this is not it. Itâs not bad but it gives me a headache to smell it up close. It also does NOT melt well at all. I assumed it was because of the fact it was in the winter cold on my porch before I got home but after running it under hot water for about 7 mins and it still hadnât softened even slightly I was a bit disappointed. It can still be applied by aggressively rubbing the cologne then smearing it on yourself itâs just not as satisfying and harder to spread.

Another Great Viking Product and Service
I would think that a cologne would have more scent than after shave balm or shave cream (I have both from Viking Rev.) but this has almost no scent. I had my wife smell it in the tin and she said she couldn’t smell anything. Viking products have always been great, but this is a dud for me.UPDATE: Viking reached out to me and offered to replace the original. The replacement tin has a great scent but not overpowering. Terrific service and great product. Will buy again.

Smalls nice, but is basically just scented wax?
Smells nice, instructions say to rub small amount between fingers and then apply, but it is hard to get out of tin, and seems like scented beeswax or something. Bought Beard Balm from same company and it is almost same product in same tin with different label.

I donât know what it is, but itâs not sandalwood. It smells just ok, but not what I thought I was ordering. If youâre looking for a sandalwood scent, youâre better off going with an essential oil. This isnât it.

i love the smell. smells 100% like coffee and whiskey should. however it the longevity of this product is very very low in my experience (less than an hour). its super easy to apply but if its cold you kinda have to dig with your finger a little to get some out so you need to be a warm area to use it “correctly”. carryable wise its perfect.overall id recommend it if you dont mind a fairly short lasting cologne

Subtle smell, but it smells fantastic! And it’s perfect because all you should want is a subtle scent – not an overpowering one.Oh, and it lasts FOREVER. You only need to basically rub your finger over top and apply to wherever you normally apply your scents to.

Iâm sensitive to smells so if itâs bold it has to be natural.I tried out a clone cologne for 4 days and couldnât tolerate it despite being sprayed on my porch. It kept going the whole time and leaves a question of âwhat are those notes Iâm smelling?â. Coincidentally that cologne also used sandalwood and this is clearly on another level of quality for a few bucks more.Iâm now a dedicated buyer of this after just 20 minutes. It makes me smile, Iâve heard the warmer your body is the longer it lasts so good thing I run hot.My son was happy to try some on and Iâm looking forward to smelling this the rest of the night.Also the tin was tight like a salve tin the first couple times then suddenly it went loose to the point of being careful.Glad I donât have to duct tape it for grip!Omg it smells so good on the neck lol
