Gamers review-bomb Target’s website following Switch 2 pre-order chaos

Here in the U.S., pre-orders for the Switch 2 were absolute insanity. Not a single retailer managed to offer customers a smooth experience, with Best Buy, Target, Walmart and GameStop all fumbling to different degrees. While every retailer deserves their lumps, it seems gamers have zeroed in on one company in particular.

If you head over to Target’s listings for the Switch 2, you’ll see that the platform currently holds a 2.5 star rating. Now obviously the reviews can’t reflect the actual quality of the Switch 2, since no one has their hands on one yet. Once you dive into the reviews associated with the scores, the picture becomes clear.

Those who tried to pre-order a Switch 2 from Target have jumped into the reviews section to drag the company every which way. From cancelled orders to website freezes and randomly-emptied carts, customers are letting Target know that they are quite frustrated with how the entire situation played out.

Why are people blasting Target more than other retailers? We don’t have an answer to that, but at the very least it seems like Target ending up pushing most of its Switch 2 patrons past the tipping point.
