The new drone also ushers in a new controller in the RC Pro 2, plus a host of accessories to enhance the experience.

Improvements
The Mavic 4 Pro offers plenty of upgrades over the Mavic 3 Pro, but the most striking has to be the new body design. The gimbal no longer hangs below the front of the body. Instead, it’s now ball-shaped and in line with the frame for a more streamlined and aerodynamic appearance. DJI dubbed the new gimbal the Infinity Gimbal, and for good reason, as it provides a full 360 degrees of rotation, along with 70 degrees of upward shooting.

Within that gimbal is another tri-camera system, but each lens can do more than ever before. The star of the show is a Hasselblad-designed 100MP wide-angle lens that can capture 6K60 HDR video. Twin telephoto lenses round out the trio.

Three Cameras
There’s a 48MP medium telephoto and a standard telephoto lens, each able to capture 4K60 HDR footage. The standard tele is a big boost from the older 12MP 1/2-inch CMOS, with over triple the resolution at 50MP, and the ability to capture more light and detail with a 1/1.5-inch CMOS.
They can even capture dramatic slow motion shots with 4K120 support from the Hasselblad and medium tele, and 4K100 from the standard tele.

Equipped with six high-performance low-light fisheye sensors, the drone maintains a 0.1-lux sensitivity. This allows for omnidirectional obstacle avoidance on nighttime shoots.
Dual processors help to achieve this awareness at a breakneck of up to 40 mph. If the light should fall below 0.1 lux, the Mavic 4 Pro can lean on its front-facing LiDAR to detect objects for quick braking and obstacle avoidance.

ActiveTrack360
Another major improvement is the new ActiveTrack 360. The significance of this is the addition of autonomous navigation, letting the Mavic 4 Pro makes its own decisions as pilots focus on getting the best shot possible.
That’s not even the only tracking improvement. The Mavic 4 Pro can also take advantage of its low-light sensors to better track under city lights or at twilight.

The upgrades are too many to mention, but other advancements worth noting include the doubling of the transmission range from roughly 9.3 to 18.6 miles.
Flight Time
Flight time is boosted up to 51 minutes, and with the 512GB Creator Combo, pilots get immediate access to the new RC Pro 2 controller.

The RC Pro 2 controller is a significant advancement in remote technology, as it incorporates a big 7” Mini-LED screen that’s capable of displaying true-to-life footage with support for D-Log, D-Log M, and HLG video, along with 98% of the DCI-P3 color gamut.
The large display rises to sit above the controls, with thumb sticks that automatically fold into position when the screen rises, and fold back down when you lower it.
For videos meant for social media publishing, pilots can rotate the screen into portrait orientation to trigger the camera of the Mavic 4 Pro to also rotate in flight for synchronized vertical video.

New Accessories
Rounding out the announcement are an assortment of accessories for the Mavic 4 Pro, including an intelligent flight battery, parallel charging hub, 240W power adapter, propellers, and propeller guard.
