Are you someone who loves cameras? Are you a fan of iconic director David Lynch? Would you like to achieve a blend of the two this year? Then you have come to the right place. A new auction, titled David Lynch Collections, will take place this month, where one can purchase some of the most prized possessions of the late director for themselves. It is truly a once in a life of opportunity. From Sony to Canon, there is so much you can get your hands on. Let’s have a look!
According to Julien’s auction house, there are almost 450 items from the archive of the master of cinema. Lynch, who is better known for works such as Twin Peaks, Mulholland Drive, Blue Velvet, Dune, and more, has left behind various cameras, photographs, photo books, and other memorabilia. These items, in their pristine condition, are now being sold to the public. Here is a quick look at what you can expect at the auction.
Sony A7R, A7S, and NEX-5 with Lenses

With the current bid at $7000, one can get their hands on the cameras, along with Sony FE 24-70 GM f2.8 and Lensbaby 58mm f/1.6 with Hoya NXT HNMC UV 62mm filter. The A7R and the A7S are capable mirrorless cameras with 36MP and 18MP sensors, respectively. Both have a 3-inch LCD and 2359k-dot viewfinder. The A7S’ ISO can go up to 409,600, but the A7R is limited to 25,600. In addition, you also get two battery packs, a Sony HVL-F7S flash, and two Sony BC-VW1 battery chargers in a case.
The Sony NEX-5 features a 14.6MP Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor, a burst rate of up to 7fps, and ISO up to 12,800. There is also 920,000-dot LCD, 25 autofocus points, and full HD video mode.
Canon 5D Camera
The Canon 5D was launched in 2005 and features a 13MP sensor. It has a Digic II processor, ISO up to 3200, and a 2.5-inch 230,000 LCD. The David Lynch Collection pairs the device with a Canon EF 24 – 105 mm f1.4 lens, two Canon LP-E6 battery packs, a Canon battery charger LC-E6, and more. The current bid is at $2,500.
Hasselblad H3D-39 and Lunar Cameras

A medium format camera by Hasselblad, the H3D-39 has a 39MP CCD sensor, shutter speed of up to 1/800, ISO up to 400, and a 2.2-inch fixed LCD screen. In addition, you get a Pierre Beauvais Watercase, HCD 28mm lens, a Macro Converter H, and a Tilt Shift lens (with pouch). The bid stands at $4,500.
The Lunar is a 24MP CMOS camera with an ISO of up to 16,000 and a 3-inch 921,000-dot LCD. It is also the first Hasselblad created with Sony. The Lunar features creative styles, picture effects, scene selections, and smart face detection.
Pentax 645
The Pentax 645 is a film camera that can produce 15 or 16 exposures measuring 6 cm x 4.5 cm on 120 (or 220) film. It has a center-weighted TTL meter, automatic exposure modes, a 1.5 fps motor drive, and a small LCD screen on top. At the David Lynch Collection, you will get this with SMC Pentax-A 645 1:2.8 55mm lens with a Tiffen 58mm Haze-1 filter in its own leather case, a SMC Pentzx-A 645 Macro 1:4 120mm lens with a Tiffen 67mm Haze-1 filter in its own leather case, a four-pack of Vivitar Series 1 67mm filters (each filter is unopened), and more.
Linhof Master Technika Camera

A film camera with a bid of $6000, the Linhof is a 4×5 inch camera with a dropbed design. It weighs 2600g, it measures 430mm, and it works best with 72 to 400mm lenses. At the auction, you get the camera with a Fujifilm SWD 90 1:5.6 and a case.
Montana Luxus Snakeskin Camera
The Montana Montana is a 35mm Luxus camera with a snakeskin design. It was made in Germany, and it will be available at the David Lynch Collection with the Deltamon – Anastimat 1:3.5/45mm lens. According to Camera Wiki, the company, Montanus, went into loss as they could not keep up with their Japanese counterparts.
Polaroids

The director owned five Polaroids, which are on sale at the auction. The includes, Land Camera – Model 95A, SLR 680,
Impossible I-1 instant analog camera, ProPack Camera with Color Corrected Coated Polaroid Polatriplet 9.4/112 lens, and another 600 Land Camera with AutoFocus 660.
