Eddie AI, the AI-powered editor for video professionals, has recently introduced multi-language support for French, Spanish, and German, meeting the growing demand of its global community. Additionally, the platform has enhanced its B-roll detection capabilities, enabling editors to isolate the most compelling moments from their clips.
Here at CIneD, we have been following the progress of Eddie-AI to become a valid tool for helping editors in their daily, tedious editing tasks. For those who are not so familiar with the tool, Eddie AI was launched back in October 2024 as an easy-to-use “ChatGPT-like” video editing assistant. Last month, the company announced an Eddie AI native integration with Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and Final Cut Pro to allow editors to log, pull multicam and standard clips, and build rough cuts in seconds, without leaving their preferred NLE.
Today, the company is announcing additional support for languages next to B-roll and A-roll logging.
Multi-Language Support (ChatGPT Mode)
Eddie’s “ChatGPT mode” now offers multilingual editing capabilities in French, Spanish, and German, fulfilling the longstanding request of its users. Editors can now utilise ChatGPT to identify themes, structure narratives, and pinpoint soundbites within non-English interviews. Furthermore, Eddie AI anticipates expanding its language support to include additional languages and comprehensive Rough Cut functionality soon.

B-Roll Logging v2: enhanced efficiency
Eddie’s upgraded B-Roll Logging feature now supports up to 400 clips per project, increasing efficiency for Pro users. The system automatically trims the footage to the most usable moments, eliminating blur, focus hunting, and shaky shots. This optimisation results in cleaner timelines and expedited storytelling processes.
A-Roll Logging v2: multicam support
Eddie’s signature Rough Cut mode, which assembles interview-driven narratives from extensive footage, now incorporates simultaneous logging of multicam interviews. This feature allows editors to work with multiple angles seamlessly, ensuring a cohesive and immersive storytelling experience.
