HSA/FSA APPROVED – Babysense is a highly sensitive device that monitors and detects even the slightest baby’s movements through the mattress.
The Original non-contact infant monitor – Now with enhanced sensitivity – Lower chance of false alarms.
Babysense sounds an alarm alerting to check the baby if no movement is detected within 20 seconds or if the movement rate slows to less than 10 micro-movements per minute.
The passive sensor system is totally safe and has no direct contact with the infant.
Two sensitive sensor pads provide coverage for the entire crib or bed area.

6 months in an still working perfectly
Six months in an this brings great peace of mind. I can see the light blinking on the baby monitor. The alarm is super loud. We “test” it once a week by forgetting to turn it off when we take the lo out of the crib. Everything works as it should and this is great peace of mind especially for little ones who love to roll around and kick off wearable devices. Oh and we have a memory foam mattress and it seems to work just fine.

Simple, Sensitive, and Effective, Easy Setup
Exactly what we neededâsimple and not overly technical. The alarm is loud enough to wake you even if you’re in the same room, which gives us peace of mind. As first-time parents who are worrywarts, this monitor has been a huge relief, as it’s incredibly sensitive and works great. It picks up even the smallest movements, letting us rest easy knowing our baby is safe. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a reliable, easy-to-use monitor!

Great product, user errors make bad reviews
We’ve used this for over a year and love it. When we brought our baby home I would wake up at night and obsessively stare at his chest to make sure he was breathing. It was a constant fear. This was the only thing that would let us sleep comfortably.
I researched a bunch of comparable products and chose this one for a few key reasons:
–This does not need to be attached to the baby and will not slip off or fall off as the baby moves around.
–Electronically speaking, it is a very simple design. There are no wireless sensors or antennas communicating for the system to work. There are just two simple (but very sensitive) low voltage sensors under the crib pad.
— The product also had much higher reviews when I initially bought it, but I think it got an unfair reputation.
VERY IMPORTANT:
I think this gets a bad wrap because of operator error. You cannot use this product with a ceiling fan on. The sensors are so powerful that it will even pick up your footsteps to and from the crib. If there is an air duct near the crib, the vent must be pointed away. If you take the baby out of the crib and leave the alarm on, and you continue to walk around the room, the alarm will not sound unless you leave the area completely. Remember, this sensor is tuned to detect a tiny human breathing from under 3″ of foam.
I’ve had one false alarm in a year, which scared the absolute crap out of me (first solo night with baby, of course). I have to chalk that up to having the sensors on the wire mesh without a flat wooden board below it. Or maybe he crawled away from the sensor? Or, maybe it saved him from a problem? Hard to say, but I would rather one false alarm and 364 nights of sound sleep.
One place to improve:
The LED indicators on turn on/off don’t make sense. I’ve had it for a year and I still have to think about whether I’m turning it on or off. When you turn it on, it shows a red light, then green blinks for movement. When you turn it off, it shows yellow? Perhaps reverse these two, like a traffic light. Green is good, red is off, yellow starting?

Way better than AngelCare or Snuza Hero
I’ve used all 3: Angel Care, BabySense, and Snuza Hero for many months, and BabySense is the best- no question.
EASE: BabySense is VERY easy to set up and use. AngelCare is a total pain in the butt to set up. Snuza Hero is easy to set up, but you have to read about programming it and remember what buttons to push for which settings. BabySense has one button- super for sleepy no-thinking nights.
ALARM: this alarm is nice, but too quiet- you must use it in tandem with a baby monitor or you won’t hear it in your sleep. Angel care was VERY loud and alarming- adrenaline inducing like a fire alarm- heart pounding for a long time after. The Snuza Hero alarm isn’t alarming, but if the baby lays on it, it’s really hard to hear- it’s best to use with a monitor too.
FALSE ALARMS: Again, BabySense is the best: I get about 1 false alarm every 3 days- more than I want still. Angel care got an average of 3 false alarms per night- unacceptable. Snuza Hero had about 1 false alarm a day- sometimes because it fell off, sometimes I have no idea why.
OVERALL: this one is definitely the best- I couldn’t have peace of mind without it on, especially since my babies were tummy sleepers. It would have 5 stars if I could hear it in my sleep without the monitor and if it had fewer false alarms. But don’t waste your money on the other brands.
