Decent quality at an affordable price
I needed some water bottles that would be easy to pack in my luggage. These worked perfectly. They are very lightweight, but seem pretty durable. The only issue I found is that you must twist the caps on very tightly or the bottle will leak. I have used a couple of these many times over the past 2 weeks and they have served me well. I am sure that they will not last as long as a rigid water bottle, but at this price I can easily afford to replace them as needed. However, so far none have failed.

My favorite water container for go bags
Perfect for go bags, emergency kits and flight bags. Can attach a filter or add purifier tablets to collect and carry water. Water is critical for life – even more than food. Bags are strong (but will not survive freezing if you don’t allow for expansion), cap holds without leaking, minimum space and weight. This is a basic required item for EVERY kit.

Deceptive description
Naturally these are very light weight and take up less room than other water bottles when empty. They will stand up if full enough and the carabiner is handy. I found that I could use the carabiner to attach a bottle to the strap on my backpack and then just slide the bottle up and suck water out without having to remove the bottle from my pack or try to tip it up to drink from it. That was pretty handy.
The description is misleading. It states that these hold 16.9 ounces. They actually hold slightly less than 1 2/3 cup, which can make a difference on a long hike if you’re expecting to have a certain amount of water. It could end up being downright dangerous so that needs to be straightened out.
The photo shows a bottle rolled up tightly and very snug against the top edge of the bottle and secured with the attached carabiner. It is in fact impossible to roll this bottle up that tightly and hold it in place with the carabiner as the carabiner is positioned too low to do that. It’s not a real important deception but should be noted and one has to wonder why the seller would choose to be deceptive about that as showing an accurate representation of how the bottle rolls up likely wouldn’t make a difference to a buyer. Knowing that there is deception though makes me wonder about the other claims.
I used them on a recent hiking trip and they seemed OK. They do have a tendency to leak if you don’t make sure to tighten the lid very tightly. They also tend to form more condensation than some of my other bottles, which became slightly problematic when the condensation soaked through my backpack and made it quite wet.
Once home, I gave all the bottle a good wash. It takes a couple days to get them completely dry inside to store them. I wanted to make sure they were very dry so I don’t have mold growing in them while they’re being stored.

Smaller than a water bottle
I ordered these for a 2 day 19 mile hike. The majority of them didn’t make it to the starting destination. They leaked all through my back pack. They were not smashed or bent. They just leaked. I was out over half of the water that I needed to make the 2 days. They also hold much less water than it appears by the photo. Pass on these and buy another type. Other hikers used similar products which held more water and lasted throughout the hike.

16 oz. Hold and Fits Emergency Straw
The Elite Tech Gear Collapsible Bottle does hold 16 oz.âs of water after allowing first settling and expansion. (3 fills). Previous reviews said it Did Not. I proved It Does with a measuring cup.
The Bottles fit the Practical Survival Emergency Straw Filter perfectly. Have not tried other filters Yet.
Does Not Leak when filled and Tilted Upwards
Several of these bottles take little space in side pockets of Backpack and can be filled quickly and water filtered later if needed.
Will comment again later after extensive field use.

Great for travel
I used mine for a week or two before a two week trip, just to make sure I liked it. It worked great for me! Loved being able to fill it up when needed, or just roll it up and stick it back in the backpack. I didn’t notice any odor coming from it, and since I only put water in it, I didn’t worry about washing it. I just used a cheapo plastic skirt hanger to clip the bottom and allow it to dry overnight. I sometimes put it in the freezer overnight to have cold water the next day. Very versatile. Am keeping a supply in my suitcase for my next trip. I figured if it lasted on one vacation, they were worth the price, but I’m still using it 3 weeks later.
