Peace of mind
The app works very well, we have experienced no glitches at all. The beeping sound is loud enough to hear, but âsoftâ enough that it can just give the back of your mind that peace that you are monitoring your baby. It is not a disruptive beep. The soft beeping sound as you sleep is more like a gentle reassurance to your subconscious that your baby is ok as you get whatever sleep you can between feedings. It is oddly relaxing to a nervous parent, when you SHOULD be relaxing. For when you need to wake up and take action, the vibration and alert goes off as expected when you remove the device and forget to shut it off, so it is definitely loud enough that it would wake a baby and parent if ever needed. The verbal notification is good too-persistent and demanding enough to get your attention, but it is not annoying as you would expect something like that to be. Itâs only going to go off unnecessarily if you remove the device and forget to shut it off. It only takes a second to dismiss the alert and finish dressing baby or changing diaper.This is great for any parent who room shares (if you want to be in a separate room you will need the base station which I do not have), anyone who really needs the portability, for example of you frequently stay at hotels, you just clip the monitor on the baby and turn the app on-no complicated set up with cameras and wires and under mattress sensors. This can be used anywhere that you set baby down, as long as it is not something that moves (like swing or car seat). In that case you get temp alerts but you cannot assume the abdominal movements as the device is sensing the movement of the swing or car.Overall, this is a great, simple monitor that provides just what I need for peace of mind. Iâm not looking for oxygen levels and heart rates, sleep data, etcâ¦I really just want to not be getting up super frequently because of my paranoid need to check to see if baby is breathing and still on her back. I use it extensively. This monitor has given me exactly that-itâs letting me sleep better and âcheckingâ for me that sheâs ok. Peace of mind with a reflux baby
While I was pregnant, I was torn on whether or not to order something that would help monitor our baby at night. Ultimately, I decided against it because of negative reviews. However, our little one just turn two months and has been suffering from reflux. This causes her to cough and gag a lot in the middle of the night, despite several other interventions.I did extensive reading of reviews and product information on different monitoring systems and decided to go with the Sense-U. It appeared the least “invasive” and user-friendly.It arrived promptly and was fairly easy to setup. It took less than 30 minutes total to unpackage and have it ready to go.The clip / monitor that goes onto the baby is nice because it uses a battery that does not require charging (one less thing for my mama brain to remember!) I keep it near her diaper station when its not in use so it is easy to access when we are getting ready for bed.The device monitors breathing / min, body temp, and body position. Although there have been occasional delays or times that it will not connect (most likely due to my wifi or something blocking the monitor from its home base), it works very well and gives me peace of mind. Our monitor has set off quite a few times (once for high / low temp, another for when she was on her tummy – I forgot to remove the monitor before repositioning her) – the alarm sound is the perfect volume for us as its not so loud that if it accidentally went off it would startle our baby, but it is loud enough that it would wake me.Overall, I am glad that I purchased the Sense-U. It is cheaper than other options, but still gets the job done. One thing that can be improved is the issue with it going “offline” at times.. I do wish there was better troubleshooting / help with this.

Estava buscando uma babá eletrônica e comprei esse kit depois de pesquisar bastante. Os preços estavam melhores do que os produtos encontrados no Brasil pela quantidade de informações disponibilizadas pelo aparelho, comprei. Câmera excelente, com imagem super nÃtida, detecção de som e movimento e alto falante pra conversar com o bebê (câmera não segue movimento, é estática). A base com sensor de temperatura e umidade do ambiente tb é ótima. Ambos funcionam na tomada (padrão americano, precisa comprar adaptador pra usar no Brasil) e o acesso e configuração são feitos pelo app da Sense-U. O sensor de colocar no bebê ainda não tive oportunidade de usar além dos testes pois meu bebê ainda dorme conosco na cama, mas nos testes foi bem preciso, detectando a posição do bebê na cama e tb a respiração. Ele tb detecta temperatura corporal, mas precisa inverter a posição do sensor pra ele ficar virado pra dentro da fralda. Não é pesado nem incomoda o bebê.Pontos importantes:1. à possÃvel compartilhar as informações do sensor do bebê com outra pessoa pelo compartilhamento familiar, mas ainda não descobri como compartilhar a câmera, e tenho a impressão de que não tem como. Não sei se em outras babás eletrônicas com acesso wifi isso é um comportamento padrão, mas fica o aviso.2. O wifi da câmera é 2,4Ghz, e não funcionou qdo tentei configurar com a rede mista, e tb não funciona com ponto de acesso, por isso precisei separar minha rede em duas (uma 2,4 e outra 5Ghz). Descobri que o roteador da operadora que utilizo disponibiliza uma rede extra pra convidados e dispositivos que só funcionam em 2,4Ghz, com isso consegui reunificar minha rede normal novamente. Se seu roteador só possui rede 5Ghz, vc não vai conseguir utilizar a câmera a não ser que adquira outro roteador.No geral, achei que foi uma ótima compra!
