Good relief-Easy to walk about…
Magic Gel Hip Ice Pack Wrap. Works well! fits well! Very nice to be mobile and get relief all the while. Freezes well yet is flexible enough to easily move around. Many thanks to the manf. for this great idea!

Take it out of the freezer 30 minutes prior to using
After sitting in the freezer for a few days, this was not at all pliable and difficult to put on. It needs to soften or it can be uncomfortable. I fractured my hip and the other ice packs and frozen peas just were not convenient like this. I wrap a kitchen towel over both sides to absorb the drips it creates. The kitchen towels are the perfect size. Make sure the fold faces down or this will drip on your upholstered seating. Ice pack stays cold a very long time and was still frozen after over 30 minutes. I love that I have mobility while using this. I plan to use it on my back next. It is, however, the perfect ice pack for a sore hip. There is ample length on the strap for comfortable adjustment. I also like the fact I don’t have to constantly fill a bag with crushed ice over and over again. This ice pack can be frozen again for about an hour and is ready to use right away after initial use. It only needs to sit out after a day or so in the freezer to soften. This is so convenient that I believe I will find many other uses.

Great product.Does what it needs to do.It’s in my rotation of ice packs, 3 ice packs total.Not my favorite, but definitely a good product I used after surgery.Great if standing but I used when sitting.Sitting it took a little more maneuvering to get coverage of my sore butt muscles and incision.Well made. No leeks.Pictures show the ice pack I’ve used daily for over a month.

Best ice pack for hip surger
If you are having a hip replacement, you want this ice pack. Without a doubt the best design ice pack for a hip replacement, but get at least 3, ideally 4. It takes about 12 hours for the ice pack to freeze in your freezer, but only takes about 4 hours to thaw. Having multiple packs will allow you to keep a pack on your hip when needed. Trust me, you will take me later for getting this ice pack.

It works!
I used this after hip replacement. I think it was a fine alternative to the $300 (rental) device the hospital recommended. I bought 2 so one was always frozen. It is true it is not quite form fitting when it just comes out of freezer but after a couple of minutes it is quite comfy

Not good for after surgery!
Stays cold but the gel packs get really hard. Not good after a hip replacement!

Works well, almost too well.
I have some hip pain. This really calms down the muscle/sciatica pain. That said, I used it the first time directly on my skin. I got a mild case of frostbite it is so cold. Wear shorts or a swim suit. It doesn’t reduce the effectiveness of the cold pack but you won’t get frostbite. This pack stays cold a long time.

My favorite ice back after hip surgery!
I love this thing!!! I’ve owned it for 8 months, I used it before my hip surgery and after. It’s been a life saver. It’s the coldest ice pack I own and it actually stays pretty cold for a while. I have had no issues with the straps, they have made the ice pack stay in place. If you like this one and are post op hip surgery, I rec you buy 2 so you always have a cold one!

Product is good and sturdy but there is no possibility of putting your leg inside. Only to covert your leg with it like a small blanket. Unlike the pics want to make you believe, you can only use it while laying your leg down because you need to be holding the product with your hands if youâre standing.
