The Platypus SoftBottle Water Bottle with Push-Pull Cap is not just an outdoor essential, but an everyday, everyone, everywhere essential. Reusable, and refillable, it’s significantly lighter in weight than a hard water bottle of comparable volume and, when empty, collapses to take up a fraction of the space. While it’s designed for outdoor pursuits like camping, thru-hiking, and backpacking, it’s also perfect for travel, when space is at a premium, and is a safe option for the pool and beach, or anywhere that glass is impractical or hazardous. BPA-free, BPS-free, and phthalate-free, its food-grade polyethylene liner does not taste like plastic and does not retain flavors, so it can hold water one day, and wine the next. When filled, the base expands so that the bottle stands upright; Included Push-Pull Cap conveniently dispenses contents without removing the cap. The Platypus Ultralight Collapsible SoftBottle is compatible with all Platypus caps and drink tubes. Available in two sizes: 1.0-Liter size weighs just 1.2 ounces, and measures 13 x 6 inches, 0.5-Liter size weighs just 0.8 ounces, and measures 12 x 5 inches. Made in the USA.
Flattens and rolls up when empty, making it highly packable and saves space in travel bags, backpacks, and purses.
Versatile opening is compatible with any threaded Platypus lid, multiple water filters, and drink tube kits to convert the bottle into a reservoir
Bottle narrows at the middle to make it easy and comfortable to hold
Materials are taste-free, BPA-free, BPS-free, and phthalate-free
1 Liter capacity weighs just 1.2 oz, perfect for ultralight backpacking and camping
Size: 6 x 13 in (15 x 33 cm). Made in the USA

Perfect Travel Companion for Hydration!
I bought the 1-liter Platypus collapsible bottle for my vacation, and it met my expectations. The bottle is incredibly lightweight and collapses down to a compact size, making it easy to fit in my backpack without taking up much space. The only negative, and itâs a minor one, is drying it out between uses. It takes a couple of days to completely dry.

Finally, a lightweight water bottle
I have carpal tunnel and joint problems so I try to seek out ergonomic products. What’s the healthiest vessel to drink water out of was also a concern of mine because I drink about a gallon (3.75 L) of water per day. The answer to that is glass, and I was in the market for a glass water bottle initially, but came to the conclusion that glass is just inconvenient. Mason jar styles with handles are fairly durable, but they’re damn heavy, and you also look like an obnoxious hipster carrying one around. Then there’s the glass water bottles with neoprene sleeves, but they still break very easily, and are still too heavy and too small.I wanted a bottle that’s close to 32 oz or 1L, and I’m so glad I stumbled across Platypus products! This review is getting long so I’ll just list the pros and cons:PROS:-Most lightweight reusable water bottle EVER! Doesn’t make my hand tired from drinking or carrying it.-BPA free, but still plastic, that’s good enough for me because I’m not a paranoid little snowflake about everything (I mean come on people, “lighten up” (ha) a little) It’s just the most practical, honestly.-Anti microbial lining!!!! I didn’t eve realize this until later, but had been noticing the water never got that nasty stale water bottle taste, even if forgotten for a few days.-Perfect for airports. Chug all your water before security, tuck it neatly in your bag, fill it up after security.-Easy to clean.-Seems quite durable as long as you don’t puncture it with something sharp or something. You can fill it with water and throw it in a backpack and it never leaks.CONS:-Small mouth opening makes it annoying to fill up with a Brita pitcher; you have to be patient.-I’m scared I’m going to lose the cap and then I’ll be screwed as far as portability goes-Sometimes slightly awkward to drink out of, might look a little funny. That’s it! The pros far outweigh the cons! Get this bottle now!

Essential travel product for flying!
Our family has used Platypus soft bottles for a while now, and I accidentally left one in an airport. That’s when I realized how much I loved these since I missed not having it with me.When unused and prior to going through security at an airport, you can roll this baby up and tuck it in a side pocket of your backpack. Once you’re through security, just fill it up at a fill station. As we drink on our flights, we press the excess air out (to minimize size), tighten the cap, and store it back in our backpack under our seat. It makes easy access for water on a flight so easy. Never had any leak problems with these either. Just problems leaving them at airports apparently. 🙂

Extremely Light, Nearly Impenetrable and Very Packable – But Easily Made Useless
I have been a consumer of Platypus products for many years and have used them as they’ve evolved from thick plastic to this space age light polyethylene plastic. I have never had a problem with the quality of the bottle. I have never had a leak or had a bottle damaged by regular use. They fold up into small bundles for traveling and make excellent everyday reusable water bottles. This newer style feels fragile when you receive it but is as tough and reliable as any Platypus bottle I’ve ever used while being much lighter. My only issue with the Platypus is the cap. Unfortunately I have lost more caps than I care to admit. If you lose the cap and can’t replace it, especially when you are hiking or away from water sources the bottle becomes nearly useless. I always carry spares from older bottles and the cap is a relatively standard size so you can usually find some kind of replacement, so it hasn’t been a huge problem yet. If I had any suggestion for improving the design of these bottles it would be to include a cap which can be attached to the bottle like a gas cap is tethered to a car.Even with this issue, I can’t imagine not using Platypus bottles when backpacking or traveling. They are a great value for a great product.

Best waterbottle for adventures
The plastic is not a those soft plastic which tend to rip. I’ve tried a few other soft bottles, these ones are the best so far. Just make sure to clean them out and dry well. They pack small when done and are easy to fill. Super lightweight and durable.

Great Product!
Use as a spare water bottle for hiking. Very happy with the Platypus.

Great for travel
Very concerned about what travel bottles to purchase because most people mentioned a funny taste. So glad I purchased this one because there was no funny taste at all. Great to use, can roll it up easily for the suitcase. Only thing that could make this better is a type of handle or hook.

This was a great purchase. I used this in a recent trip. Having a good water source on the plane, filling out after security, and on the trip was great. The bottle folds up small for carrying and hold a liter when full. Very happy with the quality.

Non ha alcun odore anche dopo diverso utilizzi, è sottilissima quindi comoda da portare in uscite dove il peso è importante, chiude molto bene. Consigliata
