Does the powder require refrigeration?
Yes, but not immediately after opening. KMR powder can be stored at room temperature for up to 2 months after opening and then must be refrigerated. (KMR powder can be used up to 1 additional month after refrigeration.)
How much do I feed my kitten?
We suggest feeding a kitten 2 tablespoons of liquid or reconstituted powder milk replacer per 4 ounces of body weight in a 24 hour period. For instance, a kitten weighing 8 ounces should receive 4 tablespoons of formula within 24 hours.
Can KMR be fed to a puppy or Esbilac to a kitten?
No, each of our PetAg formulas are designed for the specific nutritional needs of the species (ie, dog or cat) and they are not interchangeable.
Why are the fat and protein levels in Esbilac/KMR liquid different than in the powders?
The fat and protein levels on powdered milk replacers are higher because they reflect the nutrients of the undiluted powder. After adding 2 parts water, the fat and protein content will match that of the liquid milk replacer.
The formula looks clumpy or smells like spoiled milk, is it safe for use?
No. Milk Replacers are perishable products. If a formula appears to be spoiled in any way, it should NEVER be fed to an animal.

EASY TO DIGEST – Our powder is made with natural milk protein, so it’s highly digestible. Once mixed, it should be lapped from a bowl, not fed from a bottle. Use until ready to transition to solid food (7-8 weeks old).

Perfect for kittens
I used this product for my 4 week old kitten I found in a parking lot. It kept her alive and now she’s thriving and eating solid kitten food. It doesn’t have a bad smell and is easy to mix. I would add warm water to mix it with this powder and my kitten drank it all right up. I gave this to her all the way up until she was about 8-9 weeks old. Definitely recommend.

Kitten savior!
Chose this formula for a friend who had found a kitten that was in need of some nutrition! She was about 5 weeks old when he found her dirty and stuck inside some random cars engine bed at a gas station. My friend rescued the pretty girl and took her home with him. She was not in good shape initially but within about a week of giving this to her she was a completely different cat!! And oh how much she loves this stuff! Prior to this kitten my friend had never had a cat before and knew nothing about kittens whatsoever but he fell in love with her and decided to make her a part of his little family. Ok so to the important part â we had her on the KMR 1st step for almost 2 months at what seemed about 5 weeks old, and we put her on this 2nd step well over a month ago and plan to continue giving it to her until shes about a year. Jesus over the past few months she has grown so much! She is so healthy and full of life & has a beautiful coat and I truly believe her health to date is due to this brand of kitten formula. On top of all of the good stuff it did for her this stuff is pretty affordable as far as kitten formula goes! I highly recommend it. Might save your kittens life!

Kitten milk replacement
The only thing I didn’t like about this was the picture LOL this is a great value for your money the color to it is almost a tint of formula for a baby that’s what it looks like but it is the best breast milk replacement for a kitten if a cat isn’t feeding your kittens as much it’s very easy to use you can control the thickness of it although you don’t want it too thick cuz you don’t want to upset their stomach they love the taste and they function well they run around and play they’re very healthy kittens and I say it’s due to the kmr replacement I had to feed my kittens by a bottle they are now 8 weeks old running around and getting around well I can usually last five kittens for a week so it is a great value for your money very fast shipping highly recommended

Kittens love it, but it causes diarhea
My dad found a box of kittens–two of which don’t eat wet or hard food, so I bought this as a replacement. It works just fine, but it gives them diarrhea. That is the only reason why I am giving it a 4 star. It doesn’t last me as long either. Be prepared to clean their paws and butts a lot.I started mixing wet food with it and they still eat it so that is a good sign. I suggest doing that after a week.

Excellent product! Lifesaver!!
We found this girl abandoned by her mama way too young. My children rescued her and she was so tiny and had obviously not eaten much in a while. We started with step one and graduated to step 2. I have used other products before and they were okay. This is the only brand the other 2 adult cats we have were even remotely interested in. It was easy to mix and obviously has grown into a healthy girl. She is full of energy and has soft shiny hair. I read the reviews that mentioned possible constipation so I diluted it a little and she did great! It saved her life ð¥¹ð¥°

Even mom cats love this. I had to start by syringe feeding because kittens didn’t understand to lick it. Maybe I started them too soon at 4 weeks since mom was still nursing. Eventually I got them licking it, then added it to canned food as well. I love that it doesn’t need refrigeration!

Great product, kittens always enjoy this new taste after being on step one for a while. They always grab on to the bottle during feeding when first introduced! I also use it with adult cat that are sick, they wi often drink it and keep them hydrated.

My kitten drinks it. I got this as a supplemental treat before bed because she was looking to nurse on my hands at times. This has curbed that habit.However, the can I received had no lid. Once I removed the pull tab pop top, I had to use cling wrap to create a makeshift lid. Luckily, I had a can of bread crumbs that was nearly empty and the same size so that solved my problem.Overall, the product is good but the packaging was problematic.
