At NAB 2025, Accsoon unveiled a new version of their 4K HDMI video capture terminal – SeeMo 4K for Android. Finally, iOS users won’t be the only ones able to turn their phones and tablets into smart monitoring devices with SeeMo. How does this device work, and what differences does it have from the original version for iPhones and iPads? Nino from CineD stopped by Accsoon’s booth to find out.
In case you missed this bit of context, Accsoon got into the smart monitoring market in 2022 with their first SeeMo HDMI adapter. A small device would take the HDMI signal directly from the camera and convert it so that iOS devices could read and use it. That enabled iPhone and iPad owners to implement their devices as an additional camera monitor or a director’s monitor. Later on, Accsoon rolled out a Pro version that also had an SDI connection and a 4K version presented in Las Vegas last year. Now, Android’s turn has finally come.

Accsoon SeeMo 4K: now for Android users
In terms of functionality, this new piece of hardware is not very different from its predecessors. It gets the HDMI signal of your camera, converts it, and then out- and inputs it through USB-C ports to your phone or tablet. Just like in the iOS version, SeeMo 4K for Android also charges your phone, allows you to record footage on your phone, and stream the video through WiFi or mobile network.

Nissy Cai from Accsoon explains that SeeMo 4K will function at its best when used with Android devices released over the last 3 years. The reason is that they have a higher capability to process 4K. However, it’s not a restriction. You’ll still be able to transfer the signal to older phones and use their HD monitors as well.
Data and monitoring
Unlike the Accsoon SeeMo 4K for iOS, the Android version doesn’t have an additional SD card slot to offload your footage. As Nissy explains in the video, they decided against it because not a lot of Android devices could use it. Yet, as already mentioned, you still can record the video to your phone’s memory.

As for the monitoring solution, the company’s app, Accsoon SEE, works on Android as well and is fully featured in terms of what it can do. Focus assist, zebras, histogram, false color – in other words, everything that you would expect from an on-camera monitor.
Pricing and availability
The Accsoon SeeMo 4K for Android will start shipping within the next 1-2 months. The company hasn’t confirmed the price yet, but Nissy from Accsoon mentioned that it should be less than $150. The SeeMo 4K adapter for iOS is available on the market for $179 (currently reduced to $143 on B&H), and you can find the first HD version for $149 (or less during sales). As it is still much cheaper to get an Android with a decent display than to buy an iPhone, the new SeeMo device could become a good monitoring solution on a budget. (Especially if you have an older smartphone or tablet lying around).
What do you think about the Accsoon SeeMo 4K adapter for Android? Would you consider turning your phone into an additional monitor on set? In which set-ups and situations is it a good deal, in your opinion? Let’s talk in the comments below!
