Let’s start with Sigma. Sigma is set to announce three new lenses in August 2025, and following that, we have the Viltrox announcement, as well as Leica’s new lens. Let’s explore all of them.

Sigma Super Prime Lenses Coming in August 2025

Sigma is about to announce 3 new lenses, starting from the APS-C: the Sigma RF 12mm f/1.4 DC DN. This lens is specifically designed for Canon RF mount cameras. If you want to create high-quality content vlogs, then the 12mm f/1.4 is ready for you. It will generate approximately 19mm focal length, equivalent to a full-frame camera. As usual, with f/1.4 aperture, the lens will deliver excellent low-light performance and creamy background blur.

The other two lenses in the announcement list are the Sigma 35mm f/1.2 DG Mark II Art and the Sigma 200mm f/2 DG Art lens. So these two lenses are without a doubt phenomenal, and the 200mm f/2 is a new entry in the Sigma super-telephoto prime series. These two lenses are initially available for L and E mounts, and will later expand to other mounts.
