Crunchyroll has confirmed that the upcoming anime adaptation of Gachiakuta will stream with Hindi, Tamil and Telugu dubs starting July 6, the same day as the show’s global premiere. Trailers for all three language dubs are now live on the Crunchyroll India YouTube channel.
You can watch the Hindi dub trailer below:
And here are the Tamil and Telugu trailers.
Ahead of the anime’s streaming debut, a special screening will be held in Mumbai on July 4. The screening takes place at PVR Icon, Infinity Mall, as part of the Gachiakuta World Takeover event, which is being organised in several countries.
Gachiakuta follows Rudo, a rebellious boy from the slums who is framed for a crime he didn’t commit. In his world, the upper class lives comfortably, while those deemed “Trash” are cast out into a giant pit called the Abyss. After being thrown into the Abyss, Rudo discovers a strange world filled with monsters and discarded junk. He soon meets the Givers, who are warriors that use special weapons made from trash. Rudo then sets out to uncover the truth about the world above and the crime pinned on him.
This anime is an adaptation of the Gachiakuta manga, written and illustrated by Kei Urana, with graffiti artist Ando Hideyoshi credited for the unique art designs. The manga began serialisation in Weekly Shonen Magazine in 2022 and has quickly gained attention for its gritty setting and rough, urban art style.
