REMATCH has many ways to score a goal, but bicycle kicks are amazing. Using them effectively will showcase your in-game skills and prowess to teammates and opponents alike.
Bicycle kicks are one of the many advanced features you’ll master over time. However, knowing the controls well will help you better understand the basics. Once done, you’ll slowly learn to master them and perform the overhead kicks effortlessly. Notably, these kicks are not easy to perform, and their chance of success in a PvP match will be low.
REMATCH Bicycle Kick controls explained
The Bicycle kick is a two-task job. First, you’ll have to anticipate the ball’s trajectory and call for the ball. Next, you must hit the shot right to land your kick.
- To call for the ball, you’ll need to press the R3/RS/Q key on your respective PlayStation/Xbox controller/Keyboard. Pressing this button will make the ball travel quickly towards you.

You can only successfully hit a Bicycle kick if the ball hasn’t reached your foot. Your best help is the green marker, which shows the anticipated path of the ball. There will be a small window before you receive the ball when you get the prompt to perform the kick.
- Press the R2/RT/Left Mouse Button on your PlayStation/Xbox controller/PC to perform the shot. You’ll have to time it perfectly, or else the Bicycle kick attempt won’t land.
That’s all you have to do to perform the Bicycle kick. As stylish as it is, I don’t like this option at this stage of the game. Many things can go wrong while trying to anticipate a pass, and performing it in PvP isn’t the easiest of tasks.
If you still want to improve, I suggest trying it out on the REMATCH practice arena first. Try to master the timing of the shot, as the window of success is very small. Once you have mastered that aspect, focus on anticipating the ball’s trajectory precisely.
