NANLITE PavoTube II 6XR RGBWW Tubes with CRMX and 8 Pixels Explained

The new NANLITE PavoTube II 6XR is a 25cm (9.8in) long RGBWW LED tube with 8 pixels, built-in CRMX control, NFC, and a variety of mounting options. Available as a single unit or an 8-piece kit in a special charging case, the PavoTube II 6XR is available now from $149.

Released at the beginning of April 2025, just a few days before NAB, the NANLITE PavoTube II 6XR are the company’s new RGBWW LED light tubes. In the Las Vegas Convention Centre during the NAB show, we met with Andy Lin from NANLITE and had him tell us more about the new PavoTube fixtures.

NANLITE PavoTube II 6XR tubes

Each PavoTube II 6XR unit is 25cm long and features eight individually controlled pixels backed by RGBWW technology. The tubes have a built-in battery as well as high CRI and TLCI values. In terms of wireless control, the fixtures have a built-in LumenRadio CRMX.

Additionally, the built-in NFC connection simplifies the syncing process. By tapping the tube with the phone, it will sync the settings configured in the app, for instance. The tubes can then be assigned different DMX addresses or the same one on multiple tubes if you want them to duplicate and react the same way when changing the settings.

Compared to the existing PavoTube II 6C, the new 6XR tubes offer the same output but an extended color temperature range (from 2700K to 12000K) in CCT mode and more individual pixels and the CRMX.

8-light kit in a charging case

As Andy told us, NANLITE is selling the PavoTube II 6XR as a single tube or in an 8-light kit. The kit comes in a rugged case with slots for eight PavoTube II 6XR units. Thanks to the naked pins, the tubes will automatically turn off and start charging as soon as they are inserted in the case (and the case gets power from AC or D-Tap). In the same manner, after removing a tube from the case, it will automatically turn on and sync with the last assigned DMX.

The kit contains a grid for each tube, four baby pins, four tube clamp holders, and a handful of magnet plates to suit a wide variety of rigging needs. It also comes with an AC cable to charge from a wall plug and a D-Tap cable to charge from a V-mount battery. Another cool feature is that by pressing the power button, all tubes will shortly show a color-coded charge level.

Last but not least, there are two USB-A output ports in the case to charge accessories. As Andy told us, it takes two hours to fully charge the tubes in the case.

Price and availability

The price for a single NANLITE PavoTube II 6XR is $149, and the 8-kit costs $1,490. The good news is that both products are shipping right now.
