Love it
So I have recently gotten into sourdough and needed a lame. Wasnât sure if it was necessary or if just a knife would do the trick but I have absolutely loved it! Made a huge difference in scoring my bread. I really enjoy this lame because it is smaller so I have better control when scoring my bread. They are also really sharp so I really like that it retracts! I switched out the blade just to see how the process was, it was very easy. There are magnets holding the 2 halves of the lame together. Also came with extra blades, so that is awesome. Totally recommend.

It sticks to my fridge and scores my loaves perfectly
I had a scorer with a handle and it was ok, but I decided to get this little guy instead. When it came I realized it was magnetic and stuck to my fridge- so easy to grab and not lose in utensil drawers! It cuts precisely and deeply with is perfect for my sourdough loaves. Has lasted me several months as a regular baker and cokes with a blade change. Itâs worth it!

These bread lames are excellent. They are simple to use, safer than the open blade lames, come with extra blades and are magnetic. I have purchased other more expensive lames but these are my favorite.

Poor design makes changing blades nearly impossible!
The blade (and especially the replacement blades) is sharp and makes clean cuts. But the biggest issue is that it is nearly impossible to replace the blades. You must completely take out the spring clip and the back push button holder, replace the blade, and then do your best to place the pin back into its place while inserting the other end into the tiniest hole of the back push button holder. It took me many tries (more than I would have liked, and it was a bit dangerous trying to maneuver around the blade) but I was finally able to do it. An elderly person with worse eyesight and less nimble hands would not be able to do this. Itâs a very poor design and the instructions are not great. Better off getting a different lame that has an easier system of replacing blades.
