I had some silicone pads for over 20 years and loved them. They were pretty much pads that I didnât have to spray or anything. The food never stuck to them. These are not the same you have to spray them. They do not have a nonslip coating on them. They cook very well and even heat.

Love the fact that this mat is floppy and can be rolled up and stored away. The mat itself is VERY grippy on the bottom and does not slide around at all on my quartz counters. Flouring the front side for pie crust works great. Love the fact that it is actually big enough to use the size guides. Also, I turn it over and use the back to work with resin. The resin just peels off and the area it protects is large enough to make me feel better about the process in my kitchen. Love it!

Absolutely enormous
This arrived rolled up quite tightly and wrapped in plastic. It was in new condition and had a very faint silicone odor. I have a terrible habit of not measuring and so was surprised to find that this is absolutely humongous! I’m not mad about it (especially since it was my own fault) but it can get a little unwieldy at times. We have food allergies in my house so I prefer to use the dishwasher for everything but finding a way to make this fit was quite difficult. Still, the mat itself is really nice with what felt like a thick material used to mark the lines and numbers. The little hint charts are nice, too, though the one for measurement conversions is a bit hard to read. The mat itself is a nice smooth silicone on the top and a little bit stickier on the bottom – this really helps it stick to my counter when in use.Overall this is a really nice mat and after the initial surprise I find that I love that it can cover about a quarter of my kitchen island. I’d definitely recommend it.
