How does this soft flask compare to its name brand and Amazon competition?
I’ll be comparing this SHELEMB soft flask to the ZELUOT soft flask and name brand hydrapak soft flasks I’ve used in the past.Material:At first glance, it seems like the SHELEMB soft flask and ZELUOT soft flasks have different materials for the body of the soft flask. One has a smooth silicone-type of material (ZELUOT) while the other is textured (SHELEMB). After further inspection, these two soft flasks source their materials from the same place and are likely made in the same factory. The SHELEMB soft flask has the smooth side of the material on the inside and the rougher, textured side of the material on the outside. The ZELUOT soft flask is the opposite, with the textured side of the material inside of the flask while the smooth side is on the outside. I’d personally prefer smooth silicone on the inside and rough silicone on the outside so that the inside is easier to clean while the outside is easier to hold. Plus one for SHELEMB. Unfortunately, both the SHELEMB and ZELUOT soft flasks are thinner than the name brand hydrapak.Cap and bite valve:The plastic portion that forms the threads for the cap, the cap, the bite valve, and the bite valve covers are the exact same for both SHELEMB and ZELUOT. The quality is comparable to Hydrapak here, but the Hydrapak bite valve lets water through more easily.Seams:The seams on the SHELEMB are a little nicer than the seams on the ZELUOT. This is because they form a nice curve at the bottom and lay flat whereas the ZELUOT seams stick out away from the bottle. The Hydrapak seams are the nicest but I have had them fail on me in the past as well.Price/Value:Both the SHELEMB and the ZELUOT soft flasks are $10 compared to the $17-$20 for a Hydrapak soft flask. Is the Hydrapak more worth it? Well, for double the price, it doesn’t necessarily do a better job of holding water. But, it has thicker materials, a better warranty, and I expect that it will last longer. The choice is yours!

Not What I Needed
Apparently the only way to get the water out is with unscrewing the cap or biting a nipple. Maybe this is good for serious hikers or bikers, or maybe some other kinky interests, but I just found it hard to use and wonât be a good bag for hiking with the dog as I had hoped.

Bottle seems great. No issues so far. I’ve had other soft bottles like this in the past, and they eventually develop leaks. So we’ll see how long this one lasts.

My dog carries his own water on hikes.
This hydration flask fits perfectly in my dogâs backpack. He can now carry 500 ML (2 cups) of his own water on hikes. The flask does not leak even when laying on its side and is well constructed. It is also collapsible and easy to carry along with a collapsible cup. Great find and great fit!
