GREAT, bright light and on/off multi switch.
Of all the under counter, battery operated, lights that we reviewed. This is the best value for the money – RECHARGEABLE battery via USB connection. What we like the best is that the on/off switch has an off position, a motion detector position AND a standard “on” position. Most of the under counter/wall mount products were motion detecor ONLY.

Magnets – Motion Sensing – Light sensing – Extra mounting pads
TIP: I have several of these lights in my kitchen – under cabinets. I converted two of the outlets there using the item below. Now when a light needs charging, I just plug it into the outlethttps://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BCPC68J6?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1Multi Plug Outlet Surge Protector – POWRUI 6 Outlet Extender with 3 USB Ports (1 USB C) and Night Light, 3-Sided Power Strip with Adapter Spaced Outlets – White, ETL ListedI’ve not used these enough yet to judge convenience based on recharge frequency but in general they seem amazing. I’ve bought 2 sets and have a 3rd in my cart now. Looking for excuses to mount them in places I’d not though of yet.The current top review here mentioned they come on ALL the time with motion, regardless of light. Mine don’t do that. If there’s enough light in the kitchen, they stay off. But when it’s dark, they are quick to see me and come on. That simple feature could have been omitted to save cost but it’s essential to maximize the battery life and just adds to the value.A bit pricey, but I’m feeling I got my moneys worth considering the overall design, quality of light output, and ease of use. Especially with the magnets. I stuck one underneath my metal range hood to light up the kitchen. The extra mounting pads is a nice touch – many skimp on that sort of thing.UPDATE – Dec 2023I won’t admit how many of these I have now but needless to say I’m still thrilled with them. Wanted to share an update on the current version that’s shipping. The ones I received in October came in new packaging and have different mounting hardware. At first I though they had cut corners to save money. But, they actually made it better by including holes in the mounting hardware for instances where sticky mount was just not an option. So far sticky mount has worked fine for me but I like having the option without having to drill a hole in the mount. The ones that get used (come on) most often seem to last 2-3 weeks. Ones in closets that I don’t go into often will probably last months. I have extras now that just stay charged so when one needs charging, I just swap it with at fully charged one.

    Perfect closet lights
I ordered these lights for my kitchen pantry and linen closet. They really work well as nd are quite bright, which is what I wanted. I love that they have a motion sensor snd stay on a good amount of time. Lights are super easy to install and use. You can set them to stay on or use the motion sensor. They come with everything you need to install them and charge when needed.PROS: Easy to install, quality item, motion sensor works well, lights stay on for a good amount of time, versatile, light comes on when fully charged, easy to remove for charging.CONS: Charge doesn’t last as long as hoped for but not too bad. Please see pictures and video.

Works well, charges quickly, magnets stick well. Soft bright light.
Works well, charges quickly. Sleek and looks good. The price is right and magnets hold up well. Soft bright light. Really glad I bought these for the closets and pantry I often walk into for a quick grab, not needing to turn on the lights all the time. Saves energy. Will buy more as needed.

Best Cabinet light I have tried.
Packaging was good and included 2 lights, magnetic strip and double sided sticky tape plus a charging cord. Plugged the lights in with the charge cord and the lights which already had charge to test them, charged quickly. Installation took a few minutes as I mounted them inside the door of my armoire. Open the door and they go on and close the door and in a few minutes they go off. Works perfectly.

Great product *in theory*, but didn’t work properly for long. Seller DID send replacements though.
UPDATE: I saw other commenters mentioning a 2-year manufacturer’s warranty on these lights. I went to Leoptec’s website to inquire, and AFTER asking for order details via email, they told me I’d have to request after-sales services from the Amazon seller, not the manufacturer. So I sent Tocta-US (the seller I bought from) an inquiry through Amazon. They asked what the defects were, I explained them, and they sent me replacement lights. So good on them for that, and I’ll revise my rating up to 3 stars, because the product shouldn’t have had that problem to start with, but the seller provided great service to fix (replace) them.My question now is: How long will the replacements last? We’ll see. Original review describing the product defect is below.ORIGINAL REVIEW: This product was the perfect solution for my kitchen lighting problem, and upon receiving and installing my first set, I immediately ordered more. But the victory didn’t last long.I have 16 of these, and half of them are currently useless. The problem is that at some point, the lights start flickering on and off, even when the switch in the OFF position (as opposed to the G/motion sensor position), and then later on down the line, they just stay on indefinitely until they’re out of battery. You can charge them up again, IF you can get them to stay off long enough to charge (by messing with the switch a bit you can sometimes find a PERFECT position where the light will stay off), but it seems like once they start flickering, they’ll eventually just get to the point where they stay on forever regardless of which position the switch is in.So it feels like the switches are bad, but I don’t know enough about electronics to diagnose it definitively as such. I took one of the lights apart to see if there was anything that seemed wonky (messed up solder, wires touching each other, etc) that could be causing the lights to stay illuminated even when the switch is set to G or OFF, but I couldn’t find anything. What I *do* know is that eight of my sixteen lights are essentially useless at this point. At first it was just one of them behaving this way, then another, and now half of them are either fully stuck ON permanently, or getting close to that. Which is such a shame because this product was EXACTLY what I was looking for when it works correctly. Very bright, but not harsh, light. Sure, the charge only lasts for about 6-8 hours, and the light does get dimmer over the course of that time, but I don’t mind charging them daily for use while cooking at night.I can’t speak to the adhesive, because I attached the magnetic strips to the underside of my cabinet with Command strips instead, although the magnetic strip DID have a thin plastic layer that you need to peel off first, as some people have noted. (Actually, the most recent set I ordered had two small magnetic attachments for the underside of the cabinet as opposed to one long magnet strip.)The motion sensing only works in the dark, and some have complained that it’s too sensitive, but if you cover part of the motion detector with tape, you can kinda “tune” it to be less sensitive to your tastes. I really didn’t care about that feature anyway, and in light of the issue (presumably with the switch), I kinda wish they made one with just a simply push-button ON/OFF and no motion detection at all, but if that’s a product that exists in this form factor, I haven’t found it yet.Anyway, a real shame. I can’t really recommend the product when 50% of the ones I purchased are malfunctioning a year later. I still use the eight that work properly, and still like them. The only reason I’m giving two stars instead of one is that the product was a great value – when it worked – and half of mine still do, but I assume they eventually break as well.

We used these to replace old wired lights in our closets. I prefer these. They shine a great light and really do not have to charge them often – maybe once every 6 months. These are sleek and perfect. I tried battery ones and the hard wired ones and these are by far my favourite.

These are great by staircases, in the kitchen, closets. I got them to light up the kitchen rug where my cat likes to sit right behind me, so I can see him and avoid stepping on him! BONUS: it lights up the inside of the dishwasher, which is so helpful. They work well.
