I love this set of food storage containers.Let me begin by saying that even though there’s just my husband and myself, I prepare enough food for about 4-6 people. We eat enough for ourselves, then I freeze the leftovers and on days when I’m not in the mood to cook, I pull something out of the freezer and the meal is already prepared.Enter this set of storage containers. Let the bells ring, let the banners fly!Do you realize how big 54 ounces really is? It’s 6.75 cups?Do you realize how much food is in 6.75 cups?Each one of these containers holds 6 3/4 cups of food. That’s a LOT of food for 2 people. In fact, it’s so much food that it will feed the 2 of us for 2 whole meals.I have tested these storage containers in the freezer, microwave, and dishwasher. As advised, I did not place the lids in the dishwasher but washed them by hand. Each container I have tested (3 so far) have performed admirably.And no matter what I froze, thawed, and microwaved, it was great. So nice not to have to cook every single night. Or even every other night. I love the flexibility these containers allow.One of my sisters lives alone and she is always telling me, “I’d love to make chicken chow mein or chicken enchiladas or meat loaf or any number of things but the recipe makes so much. I can never eat it all.” I told her about this set, she got it, and now she can make anything she wants and divide it up for meals later. She is super happy!One more thing. While this set comes with labels and a pen, I don’t use them. I use a very small sticky note, write on it what’s in the container, when I put it in the freezer, and stick it to the top. Then I just peel it off and throw it away when I use the food.I love this set and I highly recommend it for you or for a gift. Especially a gift. Hey, gift it to yourself.

Great for making meals in advance
These few containers have passed all of my tests. The first being dishwasher safe. Put them all in the top shelf of the washer went through all the cycles and both the containers and lids did just fine. I have a big household and not everybody is around to eat meals at the same time And these are great for storing larger amounts of food that could easily be reheated. Also, no more food going bad because somebody didn’t snap a lid completely into place. I love how these lids clip down into place easily on all four sides. I’m able to reheat pasta with sauce in the microwave Without it doing that really weird thing that happens when you use Rubbermaid type containers in the microwave. The only thing I wish is that these were more stackable. You can put them on top of each other, but they do slide so if you have people that get into your fridge, shoving stuff around like a bowl in a China shop that’s something to keep in mind. Had one fall out onto the floor, but no worries. It didn’t open up and spill the food out. For the price this is a pretty decent item.

Nice, but don’t securely stack
I like these. They’re functional. Clear with black lids, I find them attractive.Storage capacity is as advertised. They seal fine. The general quality seems good. They are lightweight but seem sturdy.There is one design aspect I would like to see changed in these containers. They don’t securely stack. This is inconvenient because it takes very little to cause them to slide off those below in the freezer or fridge.Without the stacking problem I would have rated them 5 stars.Value is subjective for this item that doesn’t stack.
