Cord got hot and melted inside my phone
I disliked this product the cord melted inside my phone while it was plugged in. Just happened that my daughter and I was cleaning and I smelt it before it got any hotter.. it got so hot it ruined my phone it never took charge grom then on. I had the 2 step verification set up on all my accounts.. i lost my info like passwords and then in turn became locked my accounts. Its took 2 weeks to retrieve my email accounts and such. All I am saying is I definitely will be aware of any cords I buy from now on. Samsung & Apple brand or nothing

I have a 2018 Honda Civic hatchback with all the bells and whistles, including a fancy computer with onboard Apple Car Play and Android Auto. I gave up Apple phones a while ago, so Android is it for me.With a brand new phone, and a new “fast” cable purchased from a local store, I could NOT get my car to connect to Android Auto until I bought a cord from Amazon. This one is the replacement for the first one, a similar cord with fast charging capabilities, and it works like a charm every time.I don’t think I’ll buy any more cheap cables from local stores when this one, and its predecessor, are all I need.

Unsure of data speeds or whether it truly supports fast charging; but this item worked perfectly to connect latest gen IPhone to an in car ApplePlay system (not always a given) and also charges the phone. Durability tbc but seems fine so far.
