the dogs enjoy the flavor of the toothpaste well enough, and tolerate the brush fine. the angle of the brushes is good for getting into the dogs’ mouth, but i would say the smaller brush is really only useful for very small dogs, i use the larger one for all my dogs from standard poodle to Pomeranian mix. the finger brush was basically useless for us, i threw it away on the first day. too hard and not very effective. you’d be better off just using your finger to clean your dog’s teeth if the brush doesn’t work for you

Cat Hates Taste
I have been brushing my cat’s teeth for almost 15 years now. I started early with him so he is used to it and tolerates it, and he has always loved the taste of his different toothpastes, EXCEPT this one! You would thing my cat is dying, he hates this stuff so badly. This would obviously depend on the animal whether it’s distasteful or not. The first time I used this on him, he started choking and gagging and drooling so bad it was running into his nose (I brush his teeth while he’s on his back). I thought, “You’re just being a difficult cat and aren’t used to it, get over it.” But we’ve had this toothpaste for several months now and I brush his teeth every week, and he still acts the same every time.

I got this for my two year old Yorkie. He refuses to eat solid dog food and will only eat wet dog food, which isnât the best for his teeth. I didnât think he would like getting his teeth brushed but he did surprisingly well. I started off with the little finger brush, but that kinda grossed me out with the messiness. The tiny end of the toothbrush worked best. My dog liked the flavor and sat still long enough for me to give him a good scrub. Overall Iâm pretty happy with it and would buy again. I canât say how well it works yet as I havenât had it long enough to tell.

My cat is the sweetest and lets me touch every part of her body including her soft belly. She loves belly rubs. I tried the tooth brush and she was immediately offended and ran. I tried to use the finger brush with a little treat scent and once it got close to her nose/mouth she bolted.This is a cat that allows me to open her mouth and inspect her mouth and teeth.She lost all trust for me because whatever scent in this toothpaste truly made her run for the hills. She actually ran from me and sheâs never done this.I lured her to come out with some hard treats but for the first time she didnât take them from my hand. She didnât even trust me. I left them on the floor and walked away. I had to convince her to get some squeeze treat. But at first she looked at it and stayed in the corner. Iâm not sure whatâs in this but normally atm and hammer products are my go to for my pets.

I let them smell the toothpaste first but it all smelt of chemical plastic too much for the sensitive nose. Does not smell of Tuna for them to want to try it. They ran away and did not enjoy at all.
