Good question! We recommend from 6 to 8 hours, but it definitely depends on a person’s skin type. Best practice is to replace patch as necessary, i.e. the patch turns white!

3. Wipe off the area that the Pimple Patches will go, and then apply the hydrocolloid patch.
Why aren’t my patches sticking, but falling off?
Wet or oily skin creates a slippery barrier, preventing the patch from sticking properly. Please apply pimple patches to clean, dry skin in your skincare routine.
What to do after removing pimple patch?
1. After removing a pimple patch, gently cleanse the area to remove any residue.
2. Apply a soothing toner or moisturizer to keep the skin hydrated. If needed, use a spot solution to prevent breakouts.
Can you put makeup over a pimple patch
Definitely! Our hydrocolloid is thin and non-yellowing. Put make-up over a patch and get your acne un-noticed!
Do pimple patches work on cysts (or unpopped, blind pimples)?

Do pimple patches work on ingrown hairs? Do pimple patches work on mosquito bites or cold sores?
Afraid not. It may draw out some fluid, but not any hair out of ingrown hair.
For mosquito bite, yup, definitely not!
For cold sores, pimple patches may not stick well to the moist surface of cold sores, making them not an ideal option.

Work really well and good coverage!
Great to cover an unsightly pimple, and know that it’s actually putting medication on it to clear it up at the same time. Makeup smoothes over these and it’s not super noticeable that you’re wearing one unless someone is really close to your face.

Stops pimple flare-ups quick – patches discreet enough to wear outside the house (for the most part). Knocks out what would have been a 3-7 days pimple match in 2 days with no unsightly redness or gross bumps. Also discovered these are great for certain bug bites- was camping and bit by unknown critter in ankles, was itching mercilessly all I had was these and had nothing to lose (and had run out of itchy cream) so stuck a couple in and overnight bites and itch shrunk to nothing. Later used them when my son was bit by Fire ants – it drained the bite with 2 patches and cut down on the uncomfortable post-bite itch/pain. We keep these on hand theyâre great multi-use for us.

Great at drawing out gunk
These patches are a total lifesaver for dealing with pimples! These little patches do an amazing job of drawing out all the gunk from blemishes and helping them heal faster. Plus, they’re infused with natural ingredients, so they calm redness and reduce swelling at the same time.One of my favorite things about them is how thin and clear they areâthey stick really well and are practically invisible, so you can wear them during the day without anyone noticing. Disappointed – Updated review
I really wanted to be able to give these patches a good review but unfortunately that is not possible. I’ve struggled with acne since I was a teenager, and now, st the ripe old age of 44, I’m still suffering from hormonal acne during ovulation and pre-menses. A beauty blog gave the Avarelle patches a glowing review as did a lot of the Amazon reviews. They weren’t too expensive, and since I’ve tried just about everything else under the sun, I figured there was no harm in trying them. I applied them in the evening and left them on overnight. They adhered well and were fairly invisible but that is the extent of my positive review. In the morning, there had been no color change to the patch, nothing appeared to be “drawn out” of my pimples, and if the bumps were smaller it was only by an imperceptible amount. I’m so disappointed because, from reading the other reviews, it seems like some people have had great success with these. Since I have them I will use them until they are gone, and will update my review if they work better with future use, but as of now I have to say that these were a big fail for me. I will have to try other brands or go back to some of the products that clear up my skin a little better like bentonite clay.UPDATE #2: I added one more star because I finally figured out how to make these work for me. There is no way that these will make a pimple disappear overnight but if I use them for 2 or 3 nights in a row it helps to clear pimples quicker. Also, the company’s customer service is great. They reached out to me offering to help because I was not satisfied with the product.UPDATE: I have added a star to my review because, after using these a few more times, I have found that they work somewhat depending on the type of pimple. If it is an underground bump that isn’t going to come to a head they don’t seem to do anything. If it’s a whitehead, or going to become one, it does draw some stuff out of it. I haven’t found them to completely clear up acne but they can help flatten out whiteheads a bit faster.

I would probably not even know this type of product even exists if I hadn’t received 2 student brands in my various beauty sub boxes because luckily, acne m/pimples have never been a big worry for me even at 16yrs of age, even less so now that I’m 41yrs old. But I do still get a surprise pimple or a surprise patch of pimples sometimes during my time of the month, and of course having to wear a mask everywhere is not helping any. The first time I tried A Pimple patch, I had received a 8pc sample pack of the Corsx brand and I was over the moon. Then, I received a sample of the Avarelle, all 3 sizes and the second I agreed one to my face I already viewed it as a superior product in my opinion. Thankfully, ecru when I do have to contend with a blemish, they are small and minor enough that it only takes 1 6-8hr application of one of these patches and *POOF* I remove the patch to find it all but disappeared, if anything there’s nasty be a small spot barely visible that liners for one more day. The reason this brand exceeds any other in my opinion is 1)Most times I first become aware of a pimple in the morning and these patches are true to their claims… The actual patches are so thin and clear when applied to clean skin that it is virtually invisible(sometimes if it catches light at a certain angle it will be slightly noticeable for a moment), but I’ve learned to fix this by covering it with a very light layer of makeup if I’m wearing any that day. This feature in itself is a selling point because now not only is my blemish invisible, it’s also being treated as soon as it’s noticed. With the other brand, the patch was not clear, nor was it thin enough to be unnoticeable, so I would only apply them overnight and sometimes that world be irritating if for example, my pimple accidentally popped over the daytime or morphed into a whole new deal. And just because these ones are in fact very thin, does not mean they are any less effective or adhesive. I make sure after I peel the patch off it’s base, It’s normally stuck right on my fingertip… I just make sure it’s centered exactly whet I want it, then lay it down on its center and just press down around the edges to make sure it’s sealed.. And it always is. And I mean airtight sealed… Even if I don’t apply makeup, I still have a strict skin care routine to perform and nothing gets undernearh or affects the adhesiveness, and I use Toner, Essence, Ampoule, Serums, Moisturizer, SPF, etc. Also, these patches come in 3 different sizes which for me is a huge benefit… Most specifically, the extra large sized ones. On those occasions when I get a little cluster of a breakout, the blemishes are always very close together and usually 1 of the Xtra large patches is big enough to eradicate the whole cluster instead of having to use separate patches on each individual pimple. And last but not least, the Averalle patches have not let me down yet…. Whether I end up applying for a day or for a night, when I remove them, my problem is all but gone and that’s a very big deal to me considering I’m a fanatic about my skin care and put a lot of time into it over the years so that even though I’m 41yrs old… No one ever believes me when I first tell them my age. I only buy full size products of smokes received if they seriously impress me which these obviously do. (in the attached picture, the open packet is what’s led of the sample I received, the full sized one I purchased isn’t open yet)

These are the only ones I’ve tried that actually work. But they only work on the pimples that are ready to pop. I put them on overnight and in the morning it’s sucked all the white gunk out of them and the pimples are flat and heal pretty quickly. Also love that there are 3 different sizes of patches for different size acne spots. Would recommend these for sure
