Works Very Well, Alarm Can Be Heard Throughout Home
Helped Protect My Grandpa From InjuryWe purchased this to help aid in my Grandfatherâs care. He was not supposed to leave bed, but would insist upon trying. Even in the middle of the night. We would clip this onto the side of his bed, and then the top of his sheets. Anytime he started to get up, the alarm would be triggered. It has two volumes, low is good if youâre in the same room. I would recommend high if youâre in another part of the house. Also consider youâll need to stock up on 9 Volt batteries. Iâm Because you may be using this 24/7 as we were, the batteries will go fast. Save yourself the stress and buy a pack before this even arrives.

Works as expected
I bought this for my father who could not remember he could not walk anymore w/o using a walker. It worked well to notify the caregiver if he was trying to get up from the bed or wheelchair. I appreciated that the louder volume setting was not as loud as the alarm used by the rehab place he’d been in. This was plenty loud enough for anyone close enough to be useful. The caregiver chose to use that louder setting rather then the lower volume setting.A patient with better memory might have come to understand the alarm was there and unhook it, but that was not a problem for my father.

Worry
If you have ever had someone fall, you will understand the heading. Knowing what was happening, so you could prevent another fall was helpful. Easy to use and a life saver. Thank you

Disappointing, short string and low volume
The alarm came promptly and seemed to work, but not well. First off, there is a hi-lo volume switch in the battery compartment. The round thing on the front is not the volume, but rather the speaker. The first thing I noticed about the unit is that the alarm, when the magnet is pulled off, is not very loud. If you don’t get too far away, it will work fine. I needed it to work about 50 feet away and it just wasn’t audible. The second thing that was disappointing was the length of the string. Its only about a a foot long. That is hardly long enough for the patient to lean forward or change position in the chair. I think the same company offers a wireless version that might work better. If you need to be able to hear it from more than a few feet away, the wireless version might be better. Lastly, the alarm came with a wrist strap with a buckle on it. Except that the buckle doesn’t buckle right. Considering the price, I have decided not to return this alarm, but instead try to re-engineer it and maybe put a bigger speaker and a longer string on it.

Peace of mind
This little gem is just the most helpful. I can go to the bathroom without worrying if she is gonna get up and fall. Works like a dream! Had to adjust the string for night to allow for movement while sleeping. It also give them something to do while you are getting to them . My mom just wants to shut this dang thing up.

Product was clearly used, was not in a box but a plastic wrapping.
Could clearly tell the product had been used and returned. Product did not arrive in its box but wrapped in plastic.

Canât get it to turn onâ¦
Iâve put a battery in, the low battery will light up before itâs completely inserted, but once it is, thereâs no sound. Iâve tried turning the volume up and down. But no sound comes when the magnetic connection to the front is broken.
