This is our second one and we really like it.
This is my second purchase of the same Belkin 12 Outlet Pivot Plug Surge Protector. I bought my first one a year ago and used it heavily. It was on the floor in a bad spot where people and pets had to step over it so I wasn’t surprised when someone stepped on it for the 100th time a few days ago and it just stopped working. That is not the fault of Belkin. I just didn’t care for the protector the way I should have.Having said that, my husband I looked at a number of surge protectors for out TV, DVR, VCR, and many smaller electronics and this one fits our needs. It never failed on us for the year we used it, filling every outlet with different devices. We have had many sudden power outages and all sorts of crazy stuff happen but this surge protector appeared to protect our devices.Everything always worked after the surges. I like that the outlets on the outside swivel. It really helps to fit different sizes in there and also for convenience. I am able to fit big block plugs and standard two and three prong lugs side by side. The unit has good weight to it and also has telephone jacks which we don’t use but are useful for those who do. I don’t know about the lifetime warranty. I didn’t contact Belkin because the failure of our last unit was our fault and there was no damage to any of our electronics. The price has jumped $10.00 since last year but I still think this surge protector is a good buy and I have already hooked everything up to the new one and all is running smoothly. If I had any issues with my last one, I would never have gotten the same exact one again. My husband and I both felt this one worked well for our needs and we’re pleased to have the new one up and running. We did change where it sits to better protect it from people tripping over it or stepping on it and that should prolong its life. It if it had a 10 foot cord, that would be awesome but eight feet is generally plenty for most households. Some have complained about this unit but we’re very happy with it.

Rock-solid power supply that lasted over 10 years
After nearly 11 years of reliable service, I can’t believe I’m only now replacing this power brick. Bought it back in 2014 for $25, and it’s been quietly doing its job ever since – until recently when it started making a slight buzzing noise from the LED. Even then, it still works perfectly fine; I’m just being picky about the sound. The build quality is impressive – it’s survived multiple moves, countless plugging and unplugging, and probably a few accidental yanks of the cord. For the price point and longevity (seriously, 10+ years!), this has been one of the most reliable electronics purchases I’ve ever made. The only reason I’m replacing it now is the minor LED buzz, which honestly most people probably wouldn’t even notice. If you’re on the fence about this power supply, just go for it – there’s a good chance you’ll forget you even own it until you realize years later that it’s still quietly powering away.

For the price of $25, it certainly is a home electronic marvel that should be in every house
I have used very old and unidentifiable power surges . it did its job well but over time it so happened that one of the ones that I had has shut down due to how many devices I use .I decided to go through Amazon and my eyes has sat on THIS and OH BOY I’m loving it .I love the heavy duty feel when you either carry it or just plain move it around and I just adore the look of the product itself , the design is an eye candy to me and its main cord cable is big and sturdy , rotating plug sockets ,plus don’t get me started on the cable management part that this product got , its something not so many power surges have .I bought Belkin Pivot-Plug Surge Protector – (The biggest version that they have at the moment) – about 3-4 days , I use it to connect to my 800W powered PC that I use for hardcore gaming and two 1 TB of external hard drives all filled with data and lastly I connected my 7 USB HUB from Tagert and the results was fantastic .At first I thought there was something was wrong after connecting all of my devices and pushing the red button , because I noticed some noise coming from the product , but I gave it some time and I noticed that it was gone and it never came back.I have to also mention one thing that just ruins it for me and for you if you are considering buying one of these , if you’re the kind of guy who keeps turning off his machines completely to save yourself from highly electric bill costs – after finishing whatever business you had with them – you should know that the problem is with the design of the On/Off button .You could stick your fingernails in it while pressing and chances are you could break it by pressing it over and over and over because you don’t need those power running if you don’t use it right ? So be very careful with that .Its a shame because they did everything right with this product except for its main function trigger , however if you are like me you’d keep it turned on for a long while , a really long while before relocating it or shutting it off

Working great
Bought it because I wanted something safe to handle all my plugs for my pc, monitor, heater, etc and this has been holding it down. Love that it can tilt and makes it easier to plug in certain cables into it. I’d recommend it especially for its safety features.

I bought this 3 years ago, still going strong!
I would highly recommend this product. I bought it many years ago and powers everything I have on my desk — lamps, my computer, speakers, chargers, and other miscellaneous things. It protected my devices from a power surge once and nothing happened to my devices. Very well built, and robust!

I used to dream about having the kind of media center I could be proud of. You know, the kind where everything is tidy and organized. The kind of setup where you could imagine having someone over, not just to watch a movie or TV show, but to actually look inside the media cabinet and see the real you.But I could never imagine doing that, because my media center was just a big snarl of cords and dust bunnies. I figured that people with organized media centers were just different from me…that I could never be smart enough, or organized enough, or pretty enough, to have one of the glamorous, well-organized media centers that you see on TV.Then I saw the Belkin PivotPlug, and for the first time, I dared to dream—to dream that I, too, could be the kind of person whose gadgets plugged into a single power bar instead of chaining 4 different power bars together into a giant, hideous mess. Once I started thinking about what that would be like, I even had the courage to think: Hey! I *deserve* to have a well-organized media cabinet. So I got some fancy re-usable velcro cord ties, and I even broke out the label maker so that I could get everything in its place. Now I’m finally living my best life, as a person with a beautifully organized media cabinet. Once I figured out that I should arrange my plugs based on what needs to be most stable (the network terminal, the router and the modem), I could even relax when some of my other devices needed to be unplugged and re-plugged in so that I could make the most of my pivoting outlets.I even have one remaining spare outlet that I *know* I’ll be able to use, because it pivots. That gives me the confidence to browse electronics sites without thinking, but what if I can’t plug this device into my existing power bars?Truly, the Belkin PivotPlug has unlocked a whole new lifestyle. I feel so grateful to finally have a rich, peaceful and contented life, knowing that all my outlets can be used to their full potential!

I bought this thinking that I would have a surge protector with 12 outlets, ideal for my PC set up that just seem to be adding peripherals, one after the other. On receiving this, the first thing I realised is that I need adapters. All the sockets are the US type and you need adapters to use with Indian plugs. These adapters are not easily available – You easily get adapters to convert US male plugs into Indian male plugs but adapters for converting US female sockets to Indian female sockets are rare and costly. Though, to be fair, Belkin or Amazon are not to be blamed for this as the images clearly portrayed US sockets. The larger problem however is that this won’t work in India as it is designed for 120 V AC and not our 240 V AC.The first time I plugged it in and switched on, it blew the fuze and also got damaged inside. It is out for repair and I have yet to get it back. The repair shop says that he can only directly connect the sockets i.e. I will lose surge protection. So, avoid as it is not meant for Indian electric system

Looks like a rat’s nest because setting up a garden tent is like that. This unit is pretty much perfect for my application, 8 foot cord reaches the power outlet 6 feet up the wall, there is an on / off button to toggle power to the power bar and it’s devices. There is room for a few Wi-Fi smart plugs and you don’t have to loose access / use of other near by plugs because you can pivot the 8 side outlets so they do not interfere with eachother.
