Customers say
Customers find this soy protein powder to be of good quality and appreciate it as a great alternative to whey proteins, working well with pancakes and smoothies. They consider it an excellent value for money. The taste receives mixed feedback, with some finding the flavor okay while others say it tastes wretched on its own. The mixability and texture also get mixed reviews – while some say it blends well into smoothies, others find it extremely hard to mix in any liquid, and while some appreciate its smooth texture, others describe it as chalky.

tasteless, good protein option – I mix it with other foods
I eat this stuff every day. I mix it with other foods, like flavored protein powders or oatmeal. It is tasteless and adds lots of protein without adding anything else! No artificial flavors, no dyes, no carbs, no fat! No seed oils! No weird ingredients with long scientific sounding names. Just protein. And it’s cruelty free. BUY IT!

Looking for more ways to use it better
I am Asian and love soy milk (sweetened and unsweetened). This product does not taste like unsweetened soy milk, though it has some similarity. So ultimately I had to flavor it as it does not taste palatable enough.I don’t recommend mixing by stirring with spoon into a warm/hot drink. Took forever and still clumpy.Using a bottle shaker, add the mixer ball, liquid, followed by the powder. This mixes well but at 4 tablespoon powder to 8oz liquid, it is like a flowing thick consistency. Unfortunately I will need to reduce the powder to liquid ratio to make more drinkable.Adding a tablespoon of nesquik has made it more drinkable so far.If others have tips do share.

Strong flavor, doesn’t mix well, not worth it.
The price is pretty good for this product, but in the end it was a waste of money because I really don’t want to try and use the whole product and get my money worth.I was previously using some cheap whey protein isolate, mixing it with 16oz of black coffee and a splash of almond milk. It would mix in easily, only slightly alter the flavor, and only make the drink a bit thicker. This soy protein isolate doesn’t mix well at all. Putting a scoop into my travel mug, then pouring hot coffee on top, I stir and stir and stir, but even after several minutes, when I think it is all mixed in and stop, eventually clumps float to the surface. The experience of drinking it is rough. Though unflavored, it’s flavor is so strong that it can make strong black coffee no longer taste anything like coffee. It also “mixes” to a thick, sludgy consistency, getting worse towards the bottom of the drink. Then, there is always some left in the bottom of the mug, stuck into the “corners”, that won’t even wash out. This stuff seems to almost repel water. It is hard to even get it to scrub out. It’s messy stuff, even scooping it out it gets all over, and if it touches anything damp it sticks and doesn’t want to wash off, just getting kind of slimy when you run it under water.I’ve always felt like supplements I’ve gotten from this company are pretty good, but this one was a big miss.

Easy to mix, smooth to drink, tastes slightly bean/nutty. BETTER FLAVOR THAN WHEY
I love this consistency of this. smooth slightly grainy. not like sand but more like…beans/nuts that were floured. I enjoy it much more than whey isolate because of the flavor also. the flavor and smell of whey isolate was always off putting to me. The flavor this adds to my mix is slightly nutty/beany. reminds me almost of redbean.I mix it with water, dark cocoa, and sugar.10-12 oz of COLD water3-4 tbsp of soy protein isolate powder1-2 tbsp of cocoa1.5-2 tbsp of sugar(Mix like you would a gravy of flour and water)1) mix the sugar and cocoa in a small amount of water. mix with fork until a thick chocolaty liquid. should smell sweet.2) add 1 tbsp of the Protein Powder (pp). Mixture will thicken. add water and keep the consistency of a thick pudding/runny cake icing.3) Repeat step 2 until all of soy protein added.4) after soy protein added, slowly add water while stirring. Consistency should be smooth and like a slightly thick milkshake.5) Add water until desired thickness.Enjoy. It should taste GREAT and be smooth. slightly grainy like floured beans/nuts, and taste chocolaty with a slightly nutty profile.also a note…This is not filling to me. Personally I usually feel hungry again within an hour of eating this. I don’t think it’s good enough as a meal substitute. I eat this then munch on some bread or some carbs. sometimes edamame.DO NOT ALLOW TO CLUMP WHILE MIXING. IF IT GETS CLUMPY, THROW IT IN A BLENDER! IT WILL FOAM A LITTLE IN THE BLENDER…BUT NOT A LOT.—–I no longer consume soy products. I felt myself getting weak minded and efiminate while taking this. I now only eat rotisserie chicken and red meat for protein. I eat mostly meat and nuts with few vegetables.

What changed? Not thrilled with the new texture/mixability
I buy this in bulk to add to my morning drink (usually hot chai or cappuchino) and the last batch mixed well, any lumps left were kinda solid, pasty, and were gone quickly. I got used to the slightly thicker, slightly gritty feel, pretty easily. I felt good that I was adding protein and amino acids to my diet in a way that didn’t interfere with me getting stuff done before work. This new batch that arrived last week is less compact, so the bag feels the same weight but is really full, and it does NOT want to mix. It floats on top, and feels… like oily air? as you drink it. There doesn’t seem to be an end to them, either. The entire cup is now kind of a thick lumpy foam. It’s a lot harder to drink. It’s just kinda… ew.This has been a staple of my morning for a couple years now, adding basically two eggs worth of protein in a quick, easy format. It’s amazing how much this change is affecting my whole day. You wrecked the easy healthy thing I was doing, and I have a year’s worth of it now. I may have to return it and find something else, but this was the thing I was so happy with after trying over a dozen different kinds of powder, and it is (was) perfect for a menopausal woman who needs to be digging and building and hauling before and after work.Very disappointing.
