Must have for cake decorating
– Price is great, Walmart wanted 10$ for just the cake turntable and this was 1$ more and came with the frosting spatula, cake cutter and frosting accessories.-Compact size allows for easy storage-Easy to assemble-All made out of plastic besides the spatula and cutter but seem they will hold up well, handwashing to ensure-Turntable worked great as I placed my glass cake platter on top to frost the cake and stayed put well. Still was easy to spin.-Would make a great gift for someone that enjoys making cakes

First time decorating a âfancyâ cake! Easy!
Now I see why more expensive turntables are worth buying. This one is pretty cheap⦠totally helpful but not the most sturdy. I think a metal one would be AMAZING if I continue to need one. My son recently turned 3 and had a space themed birthday. I wanted to make him a Galaxy cake with swirled frosting. I absolutely suck at frosting cakes so I hoped a turntable would help. This set also came with the spatula/knife things I kept seeing people use on YouTube!I baked my two 6â round cakes and let them cool. I wanted to do a crumb coat to protect it overnight, and hopefully make it easier to frost. The flat white scrapers were great for smoothing out the sides. I used the longer âflat knivesâ (forgot what theyâre called) to spread it out on top. After leaving it in the fridge overnight, I attempted swirling other colors together and smoothed it all out. Honestly, for my first attempt, I think it turned out great! Obviously I need some practice, especially with making the top smooth & crisp. A few things went wrong. The turntable doesnât turn very smoothly or quickly; itâs really rough and choppy feeling. I had to really push it to get it to turn, and ended up digging into the cake with my scraper a lot. My cake also slid around LIKE CRAZY. Someone told me to put a wet paper towel under the cake. It helped a little but still moved around. I had it on a cardboard cake board. I considered glueing it down with frosting on the turntable⦠ð The tools and accessories all clean up easily. I threw some of the stuff (including the turn table) in the dishwasher.I recommend getting this for the accessories it comes with, and to see if this is something you enjoy using! If you doâ¦. Great! Get a more expensive one later on. If youâre a pro, this will seem like something from the dollar store.Hope this helps! ð

Love this! It spins great! I’m no cake decorator but the accessories work so good. Fun to use. Everything you need in one kit. I keep it all in the box for storage. Would recommend.

I bought this package because it was cheap in price, well the plastic turntable doesnât turn very smoothly. I might even return it. All other items work well.

Got these as a beginner baker and they made decorating easy peasy. The quality feels decent, it doesn’t spin too slow or too fast. The weight is fine, it would be nice if the lazy susan was slightly heavier but I won’t complain for the price

The cake cutter is a wire that you have to pull tight in order for it to work. EVERYTHING is cheap plastic. Not sure if this will last at all, but considering the price, you get what you pay for. Haven’t used it yet, but actually looks like a play set you’d give to your kids to fool around with.

Not bad so far. Used it once and it made frosting a cake easier. My only concern is the wire cutter to go wonky at some point. You have to reshape the handle to make the wire taught. So far so good. Canât complain for the price.

This is a set I think you should buy if the person using it only makes one or two cakes per year for fun, or for a child to decorate. The set is obviously plastic, but even then, seems like a frisbee put on top of marbles.It is smooth to turn and is relatively level, and does get the job done. I would just be embarrassed if someone asked me to borrow this or displayed a cake on it.
